Update on meet and greet 🐕

With all the restrictions being lifted on Monday 19th July I wanted to update you on my procedure from this date.

I have decided to continue on greeting and handing back my four legged friends and their owners outside at the main entrance for now.
As much as i would like to welcome you all back into my salon I feel with the situation still as it is it is the right thing to do.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and following my processes.

Take care and stay safe 🐾 🐕

COVID UPDATE
January 2021 Lockdown

Good evening

The good news is that Hot Dogs Grooming will remain open, though I will only be grooming dogs on a health & welfare basis.

The recent government announcement has allowed groomers to remain open for animal welfare grooms only rather than just for aesthetic purposes...Link below.

If you have an appointment booked I will contact you leading up to it, to discuss if the groom goes ahead or if we look to reschedule.
Wash and blow drys will all be rescheduled.
If you’d rather cancel/reschedule your appointment I totally understand, please contact me to let me know.

I will be following strict guidelines. Collars, harness and leads to be removed, handovers are outside at the main entrance.
I’d appreciate it if you wear a mask when dropping off and picking up your dog please and to be time aware to prevent client cross over.
Thank you

Take care everyone and stay safe.

November Lockdown

At this current time I will be OPEN AS USUAL. If this changes at any time I will let you all know.
I will still be following the strict guidelines and will continue my strict disinfecting/cleaning processes. All collars, harness and leads, again will need to be removed and dog placed on my secured slip lead outside at the main entrance.
I’d appreciate owners wear a mask when dropping off and picking up their dogs please and to be time aware to prevent client cross over.

If you’d prefer not to attend your appointment or feel it's not an essential journey or unable to combine with an essential outing please just let me know and we can look to reschedule. 🐾

Thank you for your continued support, I couldn’t ask for better customers.
Please all stay safe

IMPORTANT... If anyone in the household has symptoms or have tested positive to COVID-19- please let me know and again we can look to reschedule 🐾

A nice day is so tempting to take the dog out for a lovely walk.. please, in this heat either early morning or late evening are the best times to venture out with them.

This is SO IMPORTANT

I walked at 6:30am, by 7:30am it was already getting too warm for my dogs

Dogs do not cope well in the heat, please don't risk it. Walk early & late, provide gentle entertainment at home, avoid car journeys and keep the house cool for them

Reopened

I have now opened my grooming salon following strict guidelines to keep everyone safe.
I am contacting all customers that had their grooming appointments put on hold, to start scheduling you all back in. If you already have one in the diary from 11th May onwards these will be honoured.
Please bear with me, I will contact you all 😊
You will be advised of my current process with the appointment reminder texts.
Looking forward to see you all again 🐶 🐾

Here are simple guides which breaks down the 5 main coat types and what tools/brushes and techniques are best to maintain them whilst all groomers are closed.

Always try brushing any matting out before bathing. You could look into getting detangle spray to help with matting if you feel it’s getting a little too hard to manage.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or questions 😊
Take care, stay safe 🐾

24/03/2020

Sadly as of today following the government announcement I will be closed until further notice.
I will be opening up again as soon as it’s safe to do so.
All appointments that are missed will be rearranged as soon as i can open again. Please keep brushing your pets regularly to avoid buildup of any matting as we go through this difficult time.

Stay safe 😊🐾

Thank you

Lorna

Christmas is on it way 🎄
On the run up to Christmas I become exceptionally busy, book early to make sure your pooches are looking a smelling good for the festive holidays 🐕 🐾

Just wanted to share this video to all my costumers. This shows how quickly grass seeds can get in to your dog. I always check for grass seeds but it is very important for you to check once back from your walk. Some areas to take special notice of are paws, between toes, arm pits and ears. If left unnoticed then they can cause serious issues 🐾

This happy little fellow ‘Teddy’ was in for his first hand strip. 🤩

Attention, this is not a game nor funny! If you ever see your cat or dog doing this, you need to take him urgently to the vet. Some owners may find this behavior funny but it has a medical reason.

It's known as Head Pressing, cats and dogs do this when they are suffering from a terrible headache. They are suffering so much that they need to press their head against the wall.

Due to a damage to the nervous system, animals act like this. The causes can be from a toxic poisoning, a disease of the forebrain, a tumor in the head, an injury after an accident, etc. Care to share 👍👍 PLEASE SUPPORT OUR PAGE FOR MORE INTERESTING POST: https://www.facebook.com/DailyTrends8/
