Remember it's just as important to treat the environment/home for fleas, skirting boards, furnishings etc - They thrive in warm, cosy environments π¦
A couple of things you probably didn't know but sometimes we sit in the baths with the dogs π π€ ... And we wear beekeeper hats when we do De-Shedding treatments because it's snowing with hairπ€ ... No day is the same π₯°ππΏπΎ βοΈ β¨
πͺ² Flea Dirt looks like this, similar to 'crumbly charcoal' it's a good indicator that fleas are or have been present on your pet - Most often seen on the lower back/near the base of the tail
When the coat is wet the flea dirt will run a rusty red colour as seen in the last photo with the flea comb
A flea comb is really handy to have to check your pet's skin regularly βΊοΈ
*If your dog does have life fleas we will unfortunately not be able to have them in the salon due to the risk of them escaping into the environment and possibly transmitting onto other dogs -
If we do find life fleas we will have to add on a Β£12 flea charge to de-flea the salon and use our flea shampoo on your pet -
So we always ask you if your pet is up to date with flea and wormer treatment on arrival to avoid this extra charge βΊοΈ
