Keep your pooches safe this summer ❤️
TODAY IT IS HOT!!!!!!
Pets which are flat faced, overweight, large breeds, heavy coated or young are all at a larger risk of HEAT STROKE.
BUT at this heat it can affect ANY pet. Please be cautious.
If possible:
- Go out for a walk at night
- Provide shade
- Ensure drinking water is readily available
- Carry a water bottle on walks
- Be careful of hot pavements
- Groom pets if possible
- DO NOT LEAVE PETS IN CARS OR HOT ROOMS
Please be aware heat stroke is an EMERGENCY and will need to be treated ASAP.
Some signs of heat stroke include:
- Excessive panting
- Very red or pale gums
- Drooling
- Vomiting or Diarrhoea
- Lethargy
- Seizures
