Jaxon had a cheeky habit of charging at whoever was coming through the door from excitement!

With just 2 sessions he has learnt to sit at the other end of the corridor and go into his crate

They may hate it at first, but they come to love it💜

Delilah was so tiny when she came home we ended up crating her at night, she did manage to escape and slept on the bed, but that’s a whole other story😂

Delilah now loves to curl up in the dogs crates in the day and have a nap 💤

Crates aren’t just for dogs, if you think it would be safer, as long as they’re the correct size, crates can be used to keep any animal safe 🐱

Cat introductions,

Slow and steady wins the race 🏃🏻‍♀️

It took a long time for these 2 to relax together. Hunter saw Delilah as a toy and wanted to play with her. The feeling was not mutual 😂

No tips for this one. Other than… be patient. And don’t let your puppy chase your cats. They’ll learn to love each other 💜

When training any new behaviours and fixing problem behaviours it’s key to have everyone involved 🔑

Here you can see hunter practicing his heel with my dad. It’s beneficial for your dogs to listen to whoever may end up looking after them. Doing this from the start will make your life so much easier in the long run 🐶

Puppies grow so quick. Hunters now a Whopping 12.45 kg at 19 weeks old!

Be Patient!!

It took quite a while for Milo to warm to Hunter, through lots of positive reinforcement with Milo using hotdogs and cheese 🧀

Milo now plays with Hunter constantly and will now let Hunter share his bed 🛌

Patience and hard work and we can achieve anything with your animals 💜

New puppy? Get a puppy prison!!!

When we brought Hunter home we wanted to ensure he had a safe place we could put him in when we were busy and couldn’t give him 100% attention or he needed a nap 💤 💤

What did we do? We went onto Facebook marketplace and bought a baby play pen, and created puppy prison.

This also made introductions to other animals in the house much easier as they could interact through the mesh, but couldn’t get to each other without supervision 👀

Best purchase made whilst Hunter was small 💜

Happy new year everyone, I hope you all had a great 2023 🎉🎉

Life has been mental at my end recently, with finishing Uni in June and working every hour I can whilst trying to set up my business, August came with a house move, started my Masters in September and learning to juggle working, doing my masters, fitting in clients and spending time with family. If all that wasn’t enough, decided to add a Labrador puppy to the mix is October. Since then, life’s been a blur, training a puppy, even with my experience is no mean feat!!!

With 2023 coming to an end and the start of 2024 I would like to let everyone know, this year is our year, and to get booked in soon.

Some amazing muzzle training shown here by Sophie and Leo 🐶

Leo was apprehensive when getting his muzzle put on, and was trying to scratch it off, Sophie and I had a conversation and went back a few steps to get Leo comfortable with putting his head in the muzzle by himself 🦮

Look at him now!! Put thin his head in the muzzle as he wants!!! 🐕

This may be controversial, but many happy, well trained family pets could be affected by this ban. If you feel you can support this petition, please log on and sign😕

Having read this, and several other articles, I would suggest that, if you think you have an XL Bully x-breed, start muzzle training straight away and have your dogs spaded/neutered 👋

If you need help muzzle training, or just someone to talk to about this, please drop me a message 💬

For the next month, to help people get ready for this ban, I will offer half an hour online training sessions free of charge to help with muzzle training 🐶

I believe that the XL bully is a kind, beautiful natured breed that loves children and people in general, and are very loyal and loving pets.

It’s getting hot!!! 🌞

Here’s some top tips for keeping your pets cools☀️
- If possible try to keep them out of direct heat
- Freeze their enrichment ❄️
- Make sure they have shade if they’re outside
- Giving them constant access to water
- Giving them a damp towel to lay on 💧
- Time your walks. Before 7 and after 8 ⏰
- Use elevated beds or cooling mats 🛌
- If your dog likes swimming, take them to your local lake/ river/ reservoir on their walks 🏊‍♀️

🚨 REMEMBER - overweight, unwell or older dogs are at a much higher risk of heat stroke so take some extra precautions where possible

If you’re worried or concerned about the behaviour of your pets, and start to see signs of heat stroke get in contact with the vets immediately 🥵

Moving home can be just as stressful for animals as it is for us 🏡

Top tips for moving your pets 🐕
- If possible, try to keep them away from the chaos of the moving process🤯
- make sure there’s a safe space set up for them at your new house before they arrive😌
- Try to keep your animals in their normal routine where possible; walks, feeding times etc 🚶
- make sure they have access to their comfort items 🧸
- most importantly, have plenty of patience with them during the transition🥰

Did you know dogs are naturally super social animals?👯‍♀️

They evolved from pack animals 🐺

Dogs learn from each other and can find comfort in being around other dogs 🥰

For this reason, I always highly encourage owners take their new puppy’s out with older, more experienced dogs when they’re starting to go for walks to help ease them into the huge world they’re being introduced to 🦮🤍

Some amazing targeting practice here from Oreo 😊

Targeting can be used for all sorts of things, in this case, Oreo is targeting the hand of their owner to be used on future walks to help with pulling and to keep Oreo’s attention 🐶

This was our first time trying this today, how amazing is he doing!!! 🐕
