It really did make my day meeting you today DeDe & best of luck on your training journey not that a superstar like you needs much ! 🫶🐾

We are looking for a very special person who would be willing to foster our lovely British Bulldog Mya for palliative care.

It was with great sadness that we were recently given the devastating news that 8 year old Mya has a cancer that’s spread within her body. She may only have 6 months or even 2 years we just don’t know. What we do know is she needs to spend the last of her days in a comfy home rather than kennels.

She was originally handed into the Centre as a stray and although the dog warden service was informed, no owner came forward. We found out quite quickly that she was deaf but an absolute poppet.

One of our staff did try to take her home but found that although Mya is ok at meeting other dogs when out, she really needs to be the only one in the household.

For now she is a very happy comical soul with a big character who although can have lively moments, on the whole is a big couch potato who loves a comfy bed!

If you feel that you could open up your heart and your home to Mya for however long she has left, please contact the Centre, all medical bills will be covered under our foster arrangement.

This is the eldest member of my little dog pack Kesha 💕 Kesha will tolerate having her nails clipped however note the differences between the first few clips , the slight whale eye, the lip licking , tail tucked away , tension , shaking , avoiding communication with me . To the last set of clips teaching her a simple “paw” first so she knows what’s expected of her , relaxed body , ears up, full engagement with me and by the end no interest in the nail clippers whatsoever. Nail clip simply made much easier for both her and myself too ! I want my dogs not to simply “tolerate” interactions but feel happy & safe to do so & want to engage with me 🫶🐾 We will keep up with practising this & continue our training as she’s rather enjoyed it & will need her nails checked every 6-8 weeks hopefully with more confidence each time 🐾⭐️

Reflection canine education are very excited to share our first puppy & people socialising group! Each group will have space available for just four puppies at a time. These sessions will run over three weeks . First session beginning May 1st 6.30-7.30pm (baby puppy 3-6 months) Second session May 2nd 6.30-7.30 (older puppies 6-12 months) During each session pups will be able to socialise in a safe environment, week 1 will be focusing on any worries or concerns people have with their puppies or any general questions 😁Each owner will be given a sheet to fill out with any training advice they’d like for their pup. Week 2 based on the sheets filled from week one we will give you a training plain tailored individually to you & your puppy & week three everyone can share their puppies wins !⭐️ You can also be added to our private Facebook group to post progress & support eachother through your journeys. We also have our dog grooming parlour in the back of our social space so puppies can have a calm nose around the equipment providing some healthy no pressure desensitisation. It’s amazing how much stronger a dogs sense of smell is in comparison to ours & also the information they can gather. Sniffing is very mentally enriching for dogs and also calming making it a super important part of their day - to - day lives 🐾⭐️ Remember not to rush your dogs & allow them to enjoy a good “sniffari” ✨🐾

Enrichment packages now available large & small for purchase . Puzzle games , lick Matt’s , snuffle mats & enrichment toys are fantastic mental stimulation for our four legged friends 🐾🐶 Please be sure to supervise ALL dogs when playing with toys or consuming treats for their safety 🫶⭐️

Welcome to Reflection Canine Education . After 11 years in the dog grooming industry & the “xl bully” ban coming into place I went back to college to gain my dog training certification with the hope to be able to help educate people to protect our dogs. We will be sharing as much content and information as possible. We look forward to the journey ahead 🐾
