That's us just back from delivering this month's collection to the kennels.

When dropping off your generous donations, we have to unload and come away as quickly as possible otherwise our emotions get the better of us. (Yes, my husband too!!). There are so many beautiful dogs in desperate need of a loving family and forever home at Maxi's Mates Rescue & Rehoming Centre to call their own 🥺💔

I am not planning on visiting the kennels again until Sunday 8th September due to various other commitments in my diary. Therefore, if you do have anything you would like to donate towards my next collection, could you please hang on to it until closer to the date as my storage space is limited.

It’s no secret that our dogs LOVE to use their powerful noses.

You’ve probably already heard that dogs’ noses are incredible. But did you know that around a third of a dog’s brain is dedicated to their sense of smell?

Just think about it for a moment - that is a lot of brain power! No wonder they’re so tired and relaxed after a good sniffing session!

That’s why dogs and owners alike love Scentventure and Dogwood! 🧡

🤩🤩🤩 EXCITING NEWS!! 🤩🤩🤩

PLEASE SHARE! 🙏

I have been very busy behind the scenes of grooming my Happy Hounds with assisting to organise some in depth, educational seminars to host the one and only Nathalie Doaré Ariey-Jouglard in March 2025.

Yes, you heard correctly......Nathalie is coming to Teesside!!!! 😁

I attended a four day course with Nathalie in Leeds back in 2019, which then led me into enrolling on and completing a DAATA-ICDG (International Certification in Dog Grooming) course based on Canine Dermatology. The outlook I had on my grooming and technique changed so much for the better with the knowledge I had absorbed, which in turn has benefited each and every dog who visits my salon.

I would highly recommend these seminars to anyone with an interest in dogs (and cats!), whether you are pet professionals such as Groomers, working in the Veterinarian industry etc. or simply pet owners who want to learn more about how to care for their beloved pets skin, coat, their health and wellbeing.

We have a fantastic venue lined up which is only a short drive away from Aldiazik Happy Hounds. It is easy to find and travel to, with the ideal facilities needed for such events.

We are planning on holding 3 full day seminars, (Sundays) at the cost of £60 per seminar with refreshments included in the price. Each seminar will be of a different topic relating to canine dermatology and canine health and wellbeing. However, we are still deciding on which topics to choose as Nathalie has so much knowledge to share with us in so little time!!

I will be creating and sharing these events asap, so please watch this space as tickets will be limited 🥰

For those of you who have never heard of Nathalie, here's her short biography explaining who she is and what she can bring to us dog lovers of Teesside.

To Aldiazik Happy Hounds family, friends and followers......

As my books are currently closed to new clients, if anyone you know is looking for a reputable dog groomer, my friend Louise has plenty of availability at the moment at Pawsome Dog Grooming. She is located within Platinum Dog Grooming which is literally a 2 minute walk up the road from me.

She works on a one to one basis and is quite flexible with her working hours. She is also willing to work on weekends for those of you who work 9 til 5 on week days.

Louise helped me out and groomed a few of my own clients dogs when I was closed after losing my Dad in April 2022. After having to unfortunately re-locate her business a few times through no fault of her own, she is now trying to rebuild her clientele. Hello to all you dog lovers out there!

I am planning on another visit to Maxi's Mates Rescue & Rehoming Centre, Dunsdale on Sunday 7th April if anyone would like to donate any tinned dog food, treats, toys, bedding, towels etc. to help keep these unfortunate dogs well fed, happy and comfortable, while they hope and wait for their very own family and forever home.

A huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to this month's collection for Maxi's Mates Rescue & Rehoming Centre, Dunsdale including......

Amanda Burns at JamesPRINT in Hartlepool for collecting and dropping off '17' bin liners full of donations to the salon yesterday from Kelly Pegg, Dottie and Lizzy Glendinning....

Also to Barbara Smith, John Folland, Gail, Jean Mc Callan, Joan Saxelby-Roberts, Ann Martin, Vikki Anderson, Jessica Wells, Sheila Featherstone and Diane Gourlay of Billingham (there was another lady who donated some towels of which I unfortunately did not get her name 🥺) for their kind donations....

A total of £70 in cash was also donated by the lovely Chelsea Taylor and Kelly Pegg of which was used today to buy 66 tins of dog food to contribute to the collection....

Last but not least, special thanks to my Sadie and Sasha who also donated a bag full of their unwanted toys 😁
