What’s on at Aire Valley Riding Club this Autumn

We still have plenty of events even though the nights are drawing in and the kids are going back to school.

🍁8th September - Showing at Ashgrove Farm, Bingley Road, BD21 5QF (weather permitting).
In hand in the morning, ridden after lunch. Championship for all first and second placed combinations. Handy pony competition in the lunch break. Entries are cash on the day. Open to members and non-members. Last chance for members to gain points 🥇🥇

🍁22nd September - Dressage Championships at Craven Arena. For qualified combinations, however we have freestyle to music classes including a pairs class which are open to all. We also have an open Advanced Medium class.
Rosettes for all competitors, sashes to third place in each class. Prizes to each class winner. Lots of extra specials for highest placed veteran, senior rider, M&M, retrained racehorse and Cob in each class. Stable door plaque for each horse.

🍁13th October - Showjumping at Craven Arena. Open to members and non-members. Last chance for members to gain points.
Classes start at 35cm up to 1m with clear round at 35cm and 70cm.
Places to fifth with sashes for class winners.
Times will be issued so no hanging around.

🎃27th October - Halloween themed Dressage at Craven Arena
Lead Rein to Medium tests. All 20x40 arena.
Special rosettes for the best fancy dress outfits.

Classes start at 35cm up to 1m with clear round at 35cm and 70cm.
Single phase with allocated times so no hanging around.

Please see below list of combinations who have qualified outright for our September Dressage championships.

Everyone else who has competed with us this season, keep an eye on your emails as we will be sending out wildcards this week.

There will be a goody bag for each competitor with a finalist rosette and stable door plaque.

Mounted prizegiving for all competitors with sashes to third place in each class and a prize for the winner.

🎵🎵Freestyle to Music classes are open to all, no qualification required, including a pairs class🎵🎵

Advanced Medium open class also

Entries are open on Horsemonkey and close August 25th

⭐️SHOW UPDATE ⭐️Lees Moor BD21 5QF (same venue as last show )
This Sunday 11th August 🐴
We are pleased to confirm we are able to run our second points show of the season 🙂.
However unfortunately due to the poor ground conditions at Laneside, we feel it is not advisable to run from our own fields as hoped. We hope you understand that safety must come first and we are therefore grateful for the use of fields at Lees Moor, BD21 5QF , (What 3words location Walks.Funded.Trees )just 5 mins up the road from our last venue at Cullingworth.
All entries taken on the day and memberships will be available.
We look forward to seeing you all again and hope you have a successful season, remember points make prizes!

Please see below times for Sundays dressage at Craven Arena

Please identify yourself by wearing your competitor number. Bridle number, saddlepad number or back number (two are preferable if you have them).
Members who have not already received their laminated number can collect them on the day. We do not provide numbers for non-members.

Warm up in the outdoor
Please past left to left and if you are walking stick to the inside track
No lunging or leading, unless a lead rein competitor
Only the rider competing the horse or pony is permitted to warm up.

We run to BD rules. If you are unsure if your tack or riding attire is correct, please message us.

There is a best turned out rosette for each class, judged by the writer.

If you require a caller we ask for a £1 donation per test which goes to charity. Please ask on arrival

Score sheets will not be given out until the end of each class

Dogs must be on a lead at all times and are not allowed in the arenas
