Hi I'm Laura I run and own precious Paws, a small salon that's a one customer at a time appointment, I do this to ensure your dog has all the focus and attention is on them. I find most dogs prefer to not be left in a cage and are a lot happier and less str

essed by the experience. I do accept two dogs together if they live together and are well behaved for example no barking, I want the experience to be as relaxed as possible. I always recommend a good routine to grooming for most breeds every 4-6 weeks and a puppy intro as early as possible (after jabs)
Make grooming apart of their lives not as a punishment! Recommended for long coated and hard to maintain dogs in between the full groom. 30mins-60mins

-brush out! Want your dog to have a lovely fluffy look but struggling to maintain at home, bring once or twice a week for a half an hour pamper of brushing and combing. 30mins +

-paw trim! Some dogs have allergies to grass seeds ect, It's recommended to keep on top of the hair between the pads so they don't get matted or sore, bring in between full grooms. Dogs will have there paws washed and dried first. 15-20mins

-blueberry facial! A little pampering facial to help with tear staining and removing eye discharge can be added on to other treatments such as a full groom. 5-10mins

-eye trim! Some breeds like shihtzu, Lhasa Apso, poodles eye hair grows and causes irritation near the eyes and can lead to a lot of problems, always recommend to bring in between full grooms to keep on top of it. Dogs eyes will be washed and a blueberry facial used before a trim. 10-15 mins

-nail trim! Regular nail trims keep the feet in a good posture, long nails with long quicks are recommended to have small amounts taken off once a week to help the quick recede. 5-10 mins

-ears cleaned and plucked! If your dog suffers with waxy, warm, sore ears a regular cleaning routine is recommended. Some breeds such as poodles have hair in the ear canal and this can trap wax in, the ears are plucked then cleaned to help air get inside the ear canal, unfortunately if the dog doesn't tolerate this a vet is recommended. 5-10 mins

-de shed! Double coated breeds shed hair it is recommended to keep the coat well maintained to help protect with heat, cold and skin allergies. This treatment includes bath, blast, blow-dry, nails clipped, ears cleaned, rubber tools are used to remove as much loose hair as possible without ruining the coat. Small trimming with scissors can be done round hygiene areas, undercarriage, feet, legs and chest area. It is not advised to clipper these types of coats as it can ruin the coat and cause coat funk.(please note matted coats will have to be shaved off) 60mins+

-the full groom! This includes a bath, blow-dry, nails clipped, ears plucked and cleaned, hygiene areas clipped, hair between pads clipped, coat styled ether by clippers or hand sc******ng, and finished with a cologne. Most breeds that constantly grow hair eg poodles, poodle cross, shihtzu, Lhasa Apso ect are recommended to come every 4-6 weeks to maintain a good coat condition especially if you would like a longer style.
