Puppy lesson with Lola, a 4 month old Golden Retriever. This was our final lesson today socialising with my Rosie. Socialising your puppy with balanced dogs is more crucial than people realise. If the only socialising you give your puppy is with other young ones, it will not learn the crucial skills of interaction required for their development. Puppies need to learn that there are boundaries to play and puppies will not teach other puppies these skills.

Recall training with Lottie a 6 month old Retreiver. Always remember that having your dog off lead its up to the owners to ensure their dog can be trusted and return when called. Lottie and her owner are doing brilliant!

Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Dexter 5 year old labradoodle who I’ve been working with over last couple of weeks on recall. He’s now off lead with his owner enjoying his walks.
A lovely message from a client of mine who I worked with last month. They have a 1 year old Cockerpoo called Bobby who was overly aggressive with his owners whilst in the garden together. He would jump, snarl and bite them at any random time and my clients were not inexperienced owners so it was a shock to them both this kind of behaviour. After a couple of lessons working on this and a few other issues they raised his behaviour is on the right path to being a lovely well mannered dog.

6 month old Cockerpoo Indy on her first walking lesson. Prior to our lesson she was pulling her owner to get to where she wanted and had no acknowledgment for her owner. After a short lesson in the garden we then took her outside and both Indy and her owner have excelled! I look forward to our follow up in a few weeks time.
Border Terrier fun 🤩 Rosie and Mable having a great time. Mable is an over excitable 7 month old BT so socialising with balanced more experienced dogs is vital rather than being exposed to other high energy puppies who won’t teach her some boundaries.
Lovely final lesson with Molly the Double Doodle this afternoon. Been training this gorgeous girl since 9 weeks now 6 months old and she’s developing into a fantastic dog. Her owners have taken on board everything from day one and she walks well, off lead with great recall, well socialised and brilliant around the home and with the children.
Puppy training with Bailey the Beagle yesterday! Getting as much knowledge from the start of a long and enjoyable journey into the world of ownership from a trainer is always the best option, especially for first time dog owners.

Even though she had been attending group classes (not mine) for a year nothing was stopping this behaviour. Working with Stella one year old Belgian Malinois who will go for the vacuum, mob, brush anything handled by the owner. This is especially dangerous as this could result in injuries to the dog and human. In this video shows a quick breakdown of what we worked on with Stella in the time spent with her owners. Working on holding a ‘down stay’ around smaller distractions before working on the vacuum. Then implementing this with handling of the vacuum off, then the sound and finally all together.
