Exciting news of another little Jack Russell: What an adventure awaits Freddie and his family in the New Year!
"Hi,
I hope you are well.
Just wanted to let you know we are moving to Australia next month and of course we are taking Freddie with us. He flies out on the 11th January 25. We will also be celebrating his 2nd Gotcha year on the 3rd Jan. Just wanted to say thank you again for the opportunity to adopt Freddie, we absolutely adore him.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas & New year.
Kind regards
Anna & Phil and Freddie"

We wish all three of them a wonderful new life in Adelaide. No more wearing thick coats and hiding under duvets, Freddie! 😉

Sweet little Joyce captured all our hearts. We were delighted when we found her a wonderful home where there was already a confident Jack Russell. Dogs who are shy with people often gain such confidence when they are in the company of another dog who can show them that people aren't all scarey! It looks as if the lovely Enzo has readily welcomed Joyce into his home:

Hello,
Just thought I’d share an update on how Joyce is settling, with some pictures!
So far, both getting on well, we are so pleased with how quickly Joyce seems to have settled in. She was, of course, nervous for the first couple of days whilst she figured things out, but has gained so much confidence over the last few days.
She’s enjoyed getting to know the village on her walks, and has loved meeting all the neighbours. She met Dillon at the weekend and came on a long walk through Nymans woods. even stopped off at a pub for a beer after too, where she took the opportunity to get strokes from every passer by…
She’s slowly getting more comfortable with new dogs out and about on walks, she’ll shy away at first but then gets really interested once she’s sussed them out. That being said, we’ve only bumped into a few so far, so she mostly has a peaceful stroll down the river, just her and Enzo!
Joyce is also really enjoying the garden, and joins Enzo on his usual nightly patrols before bed, making sure there are no unexpected guests in the garden!
Pics attached, will send some more over soon :)
Thanks again for all your help.
Best,
Max

Have you got love in your heart to help a foster cat this Christmas? We are looking for fosterers who are planning a quiet Christmas and New Year who would like share this special time of year with a furry friend. We are looking for placements of at least three weeks for some of our nervous young cats to build their confidence so they can find their forever home.
You will need to have no other pets or young children and be able to transport to a vet in an emergency. We will pay for all vet treatment and they will come with food and litter. Please get in touch https://rspca-brighton.org.uk/how-to-help/fostering/

Many of you will remember lovely Lennie who was attacked by the other dog in his previous home so badly that he nearly died. We are so proud of the brave boy he has become. It just shows how a few months in a loving home can transform a dog’s life.
Hi Everyone it's me, Lennie!
I do hope you are all well and my fellow fur furriends are all doing okay. I just wanted to let you all know that it has been exactly 6 months since my Gotcha day. The day I arrived to my forever home! It’s been an adventure and I am very happy with all the attention and love. If I'm honest I am extremely cheeky and Mum says I keep her on her toes whatever that means. I make her laugh a lot so I love it here. I get smothered in kisses and cuddles all day every day. I'm handsome so it’s what I expect, hehe ... I'm in a good routine now and for those reading this who don't know me, I was very nervous around other dogs, in fact very reactive because of my unfortunate past but now I’m as cool as a cucumber. I can now walk past any animal including my own kind and I just look and carry on. I'm so proud of myself. Mum says I'm her champion! During the week we go to the beach, the park, I love going in the car so we also go to the woods for walkies even up to Beachy Head but Sundays are my favourites. We go to Abbots Wood and basically I run free.
None of this would have been possible without all of you from Brighton. I probably wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for the love and care I received from every single one of you. From the day I was rescued, from the treatment I received, the walks I had daily, the play time I was given, the love, the food and boy do I love my food. All of you will forever stay in my happy heart because of you I got to go to my forever home.
So thank you, thank you... you are all truly pawsome!
I have attached some pictures for you to enjoy and I just know you will be jealous of my pajamas!
So on that note I will say see you soon as I am off for another adventurous walk and then will relax on my sofa!
Have a very merry Christmas to you all and I wish all my fellow fur furriends a happy and joyful and safe and lucky 2025.
Lots of love and licks
Lennie

24/11/2024

Little Roger and Jessica came to us terrified of everyone and everything. Roger became slightly more confident but Jessica remained very timid of all but a few of her carers. So it took a very special couple to take them on and, luckily, we found that couple in Toni and Darren. They are letting the dogs take things at their own pace and not rushing them into doing anything they aren’t comfortable with. We know it will pay off and they are already making huge strides. Onwards and upwards Roger and Jessica! There’s a whole new world out there waiting for you when you are ready!
Day 1 update:
Morning all,
Just wanted to give brief 1st night update. Both seemed to have started to settle bit by bit. Both ate and had meds easily last night and both happily ate this morning also. They had a good solid sleep last night (we have a camera in the living room) after having an explore. Not even 3 hours of getting home Roger decided to try and make off with a tin of peanuts (didn't get any)
Kindest regards
Toni and Darren

Day 3:
Don't want to bombard you but feel we have reached a few milestones! Hubby has been able to stroke Roger a few times without him backing off and immediately gone to him for treats without fear after. I'm making headway with Jess. Roger is also happy to sleep on his back tummy up and they have started playing with each other with adorable zoomies.
Thank you for letting us adopt them
Toni and Darren

Day 7:
Hi all,
One week update. Couple more milestones hit. Jess now comes to both of us for a cuddle, does back off occasionally but not often. She does appear to love body slamming Roger as well she in fact is a little madam!
Roger will come to both of us for strokes and even belly rubs occasionally, is happening more often. They also had their first walk yesterday, Friday, with new tags and fleece lined coats. We noticed that they were shivering when going out for the loo so the coats seemed a good idea for walkies. Husband said the walk went well and both seem OK wearing their coats.
Hope you all have a good weekend

Rusty (was Eddie) brought his ears to see us yesterday! He is a dachshund cross chihuahua who came to us a tiny puppy with his sister Dolores. He has now grown to 5.6 kilos, most of which is his ears! He is enjoying life and creating general mayhem!
Claire and her family first came to us a few years ago, looking for a friend for their little terrier and found Thor. They then decided they had room in their hearts for a third and so lucky Rusty joined them.
Claire has now become a home visitor for us, so they are truly wonderful supporters!
