I had the pleasure of grooming the very handsome Sid today while Good Houndkeeping groomed his brother Fergus. Sid is not keen on having his legs brushed but he did brilliantly today and looked super smart after his groom 💙

Today I had a visit from a very fluffy Riley. She was very quiet and nervous during her groom today so lots of cuddles were required 💗 She looked beautiful and silky after her haircut and was so excited to see her lovely mummy on pick up 💖

Lots of fun in the salon today with Christmas music, Santa’s helpers and some superstar doggies having their Xmas Trimmings pamper.
Myself and Good Houndkeeping had a great time and laughed so much trying to take cute photo’s at the end of each session. We got there in the end and 7 happy beautiful doggies left the salon with their Christmas bandana’s, jingle bell collars and treat bag.

Trecco loves to wrap himself around my neck like a scarf when I’m drying him and would spend the entire groom having cuddles if he could 🤣

So calm and patient and his new shorter haircut looks gorgeous 💙

Busy in the salon today with Good Houndkeeping. Lots of lovely doggies and their owners.

First in the salon was beautiful Bailey. Such a sweet natured little girl who takes it all in her stride. She is a little nervous at first but soon relaxes and takes a treat or 2 💗

Winston came for a pre Christmas pamper today. He had some matting under his ears and on his neck so we had to go short to safely remove. Winston watched over his brother Baxter while he was also being groomed (making sure he was ok with Good Houndkeeping)🤣💙

Handsome and the very talented JJ came to see me today. We went much shorter at mum’s request to help with maintenance in between grooms. He was a total ⭐️ and the only thing he wasn’t keen on was having his head and face dried 💙

Little Toby came for a pre Christmas haircut today. He was a total joy and so full of energy. I got so many kisses that I had to keep wiping my glasses so I could see 🤣💙

Josie came to see me after a very wet walk with her grandad.

Her mum has worked really hard with brushing Josie frequently between grooms and virtually no knots in her coat today AMAZING!!!

Josie really was a superstar today and was very calm throughout her groom. Not overly keen on keeping still when I was styling her head/face as there was too much going on in the salon with another doggy to watch 🐶🥰

Looking forward to seeing Josie on 23rd for her Christmas Trimmings pamper🎄

Beautiful Bhodi came to the salon this morning for lots of cuddles and a pre Christmas makeover 💕

Bhodi wasn’t keen on the dryer so I spent longer drying her on the lowest setting. This was so effective that she was super chilled and falling asleep by the end. 🤣

Bhodi’s mum likes to keep her coat long and is happy for her to come every 6 weeks for a groom and will brush lots at home inbetween to maintain this length. Adorable 🥰

Sweet gentle Poppy came for her first visit to Ruff & Ready today. She was a star and enjoyed her blueberry facial (who wouldn’t). I was shocked when mum told me she was 10 1/2 as she looked AMAZING 💕
Poppy came in with her younger sister Millie (groomed by Good Houndkeeping)
They kept eachother company and sat patiently waiting by the door when mum arrived to collect them 💖💖

Little Toby came for his first puppy groom today. He was such a good boy and took it all in his stride. I had lots of cuddles and kisses and he almost fell asleep while I was brushing his head and trimming around his face 💙

Handsome Winston needed to have a short cut due to some knots in his coat. He was so patient and a total ⭐️ and looked and smelt amazing after his pamper session 💙

She is always a little hesitant during her groom but she soon relaxes and will only take a treat when we’re finished 😍

The delightful little Toby came for his settling in session today before his puppy groom next week. He seemed very relaxed and even the noise of hairdryer didn’t phase him. Toby was a ⭐️ and let me brush his body, legs, face and ears. We had lots of cuddles, play and treats while getting used to the equipment in the salon. This short visit will help to reinforce that regular grooming sessions and visits to see Aunty Pam will be part of his life from an early age. See you next week Toby 💙 x

Today I had a visit from Trecco for his first full groom. He was a little unsure on his puppy groom so we decided to split his first full groom into 2 visits to make the process easier for him to tolerate. He came yesterday for his bath and dry and back today to be clipped. He totally smashed it and we are BEST FRIENDS 🐶🌟 - his mum sent me the most gorgeous photo of him after his groom which I had to share.

Bailey is just the sweetest girl, so calm and cute and very very cuddly. Mum has done a fantastic job at maintaining her coat inbetween grooms and this made the grooming process a pleasant experience for Bailey 💕

This afternoon I had the pleasure of Josie’s company. She loves her treats and also likes to spy on the birds through the window 🤣

Mum decided that a short manageable length was the way forward for Josie. This will make drying and brushing after muddy/wet walks a lot easier.

She looked super cute and bounced down the garden like a little lamb when mum came to collect her 💕

Monday mornings don’t get much better than a cuddle with beautiful Bhodi. She has already been to the salon for a sniff, play and to get used to the noises and equipment but a this was her 1st proper visit for a puppy groom. You smashed it Bhodi 💕

This weekend the clocks go back an hour to signal the end of British Summer Time (BST). You will likely notice a change in your dog's coat around this time but may not link the two things together. Surprisingly, although just a 60 minute change it can have an effect.
