We at sniffilicious would like to wish all of our doggie customers and their human counter-parts a very merry Christmas.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for all your support since sniffilicious opened.

As most are aware I'm closing the boarding aspects of the business from now, this is because I want a family. I will still be doing walkies and training🐾

I have been asked for recommendations, I do have a list of people I would not recommend after seeing how they run😥 I'm fully aware it is extremely hard to find someone who's really good and above board. If you would like any help with finding a boarder I'm more than happy to help you all.

When I started out I made it my mission to be the best and to put the doggies welfare first. I am the highest qualified boarder within South Gloucestershire, I have alot of passion for dogs and I always put the doggies welfare first.

I've had a lot of people asking if 'it's too cold to walk my dog?'

Dogs have a winter coat which gets thicker through the winter to keep them warm. Thus is why dogs do not tend to shed much fur during the colder months.

Yes you can pop a doggy coat on to help keep the warmth in, however depending on your doggy breed and their fur type be careful as to not overheat them.

At the moment yes it's safe to walk your doggie, perhaps for a shorter time. The real danger comes when we get into the -degrees, which during the daytime we are not there yet

If any dog is that out of control it must be reported to the police ASAP as it is classed as a dangerous dog and would fall under the dangerous dog act.

Half term legends this week.

It's been a hectic week with lots of new behaviour reconditioning doggies coming on board.

Remember CPR given ASAP can safe a life, just as it can in humans.

Instead of panicking if a situation arises that CPR is needed, start CPR and ring a vet ASAP, keep the vet on loud speaker so that you can explain what is happening without stopping CPR❤

Interesting debate on the news this morning regarding dangerous dogs.

This year we have seen the most fatal dog attacks in one year since the banned list came into force.

Should the American XL bully be added to the list? This breed has become massively popular over the last few years and is responsible for the majority of the fatal attacks this year.

One of the main reasons for this is due to the amount of people who sort after the breed during lockdown. These people had no previous dog experience, nor did they research the breed, nor did they do any training with the dog.

Unfortunately these dogs are all over social media in pictures and videos where they are hanging off tree branches, encouraged to jump up to bite ect.

This is training the dog to bite.

Should this breed be banned? My personal opinion is I don't like the breed, but I don't think the breed should be banned. I think that humans need to be educated more on dogs and their breeds and how to handle them.

This breed is much more powerful than any human and the majority of dog owners do not have full control of their dog, for example most dog owners do not know how to cope with an attack.

Unfortunately we need to expect a lot more dog attacks, either on humans or on dogs over the next few years, this is down to the lack of training, lack of knowledge on both dogs and breeds, lack of knowledge on how to handle a dog, lack of knowledge on dog law ect.

NO this is not OK, your dog will bite and attack given the right circumstances. EVERY DOG CAN BITE when in pain and when cornered.

Just a little snippet of how my day goes. I spend the majority of my time on the floor at the same level as the dogs, were all equal here. Although as we all know it's the little man that rules the roost 🤣🐾

Play time for these two! They both have fab social skills and if you watch carefully you can see how they respect each other and play on the same level🐾

These two absolutely love each other. They have experienced a holiday pawmance a few times, this time round they were both super excited to see each other again 🥰🐾

How do you know if your doggie enjoys their stay here at sniffilicious??? When they know which house they need to go to. I do catch several of my doggie clients turning onto my driveway when they are out on walkies with their parents on the camera. That's how you know they are well loved and cared for while they are on their holidays here🥰🐾
