Terms & Conditions

1) To ensure a happy stay for all dogs we do not accept dogs that show aggressive tendencies towards other dogs or people, subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991
If your dog should show aggression and their behaviour becomes uncontrollable, destructive or unreasonable, you accept that they will be placed in alternative dog boarding Kennels at owners expense until

your return. This is subject to a £20 transfer fee
Rovers Retreat will not board bi***es whilst they are in season including the 13 days post last bleed, failure to comply with this will result in boarding being cancelled and no further bookings offered

2) In the event of any dog not being collected within 14 days of the contracted departure date they will become the property of Rovers retreat
3) We do not walk any dogs off lead,
4) Rovers Retreat is not responsible for any damage incurred by your dog escaping because of a faulty leash/collar or a badly fitted collar.
5) Rovers Retreat will care for your pet as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence Rovers Retreat cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.
6) When outside the premises all dogs must wear an identity tag with Rovers Retreat details on.
7) During your dog’s stay or during walks your dog may be with other dogs i.e., drop off and pick up, when signing below you are agreeing to this.
8) All dogs staying must be up to date with vaccinations, inoculations and parasite treatment and have their vaccination card available as proof
9) All dogs must be in good health and a clean condition
10) In the event the unthinkable happens and a dog passes away quickly whilst in our care we will contact you or your emergency contact immediately to discuss our wishes.
11) We do not take un-neutered male dogs
12) we do not accept any excessive barking / whining/digging or jumping up at people or counter tops
13) Bookings are not confirmed until a 50% deposit has been paid which is due the same time as your booking form. The remainder will be payable on day of drop off, If we are not advised of cancellation 10 days in advance, your deposit will not be refunded and will not be used against further booking.
14) You agree that if you decide to collect your dog early before the end of the contracted time, you will not be entitled to any refund of payment
15) You agree to provide enough food for the duration of your dog’s stay, if this is not covered, you agree, upon presentation of a receipt , to refund Rovers Retreat any costs of purchasing food
16) Owners are liable for any damage to Rovers Retreat premises or its contents by their dog/s.
17) You agree to provide full and detailed information on the Booking Form of any characteristics of your dog including incontinence, excessive barking/ whining etc, failure on your part not to disclose anything that might render your dog unsuitable for home boarding will be deemed as omission and a breach of agreement. You will also be liable for additional costs incurred due to failing to disclose this information.
18) Acceptance of our service is deemed an acceptance of our terms and conditions and an agreement to pay our fees on time.
