Shamus has been having loading session over the past few months. We quickly realised that he has a 30min attention span so he has been having regular short session - progressing each time, from walking through the deconstructed trailer to having the trailer rebuilt in stages around him. Today he went on his first drive out and he was absolutely amazing !! So proud of him 😍

Loved taking little Yogi to see all the nursery children this morning. Think he has found his perfect job 😍 Then returning the beautiful Fleur home before collecting Fred and Vinnie for a showjumping lesson with Tor Leeding at Eland. Home for 2100 to return today’s messages/quotes and plan for tomorrow’s adventures x

Great progress with Lilly today. After a previous incident on the trailer Lilly had become scared and physically shook when trying to load, her instinct was to rear and swing away from the trailer. Yesterday’s session worked on getting Lilly relaxed around the trailer (to the point she would put her two fronts on without even being asked. We then worked on letting Lilly know that a lunge line behind her is for encouragement to walk forwards (not the weapon she though it was). Within the hour Lilly was loading great without any fear. The next session will be teaching her to come off the trailer forwards with more control (as she likes to rush off)
