Hello Everyone 👋

Thankyou for all your patience whilst I was on maternity, What a quick 8 months!!

I am making a gradual return to work in May, day and times will be limited but as always I will try my hardest to accommodate everyone! We will be offering dog walking & pet sitting services only ( this is in the owners home )

My diary is now open for any bookings from May 2023!

Just a update for all Keksi's little buddies 🐾
On 14th of September Keksi turned into a big sister to our little Arabella Ada, she has been the best big sister every day since and takes her job very seriously, although she could probably do with a good night's sleep along with the rest of us 🤣❤

I would like to say HUGE thank-you to all clients past and present for the continued support over the last 2 years, I have genuinely loved every walkies, day care and boarder we have had the pleasure of spending time with! That's Me & Keksi finished for Maternity leave, thank-you for the beautiful messages and gifts! I do not have a return date yet, once I do, I will update all clients with our dates and services we will be providing 🐶

Here comes the sun... 🌞🎶 and the blue-green algae! ☠

Blue-green algae is a naturally occurring bacteria found mostly in stagnant waters such as lakes, ponds, canals, rivers and reservoirs. Although not all blue-green algae are harmful, some can produce TOXIC chemicals which can lead to acute damage to your dog’s liver.

Because the algae blooms from later spring to early autumn, they are particularly a health risk during warm summer months.

Although there is no reverse cure following ingestion of the toxic algae, aggressive symptomatic treatment can be offered but the prognosis is often grave.

If you believe your dog has ingested blue-green algae, or if they begin showing clinical signs of algae toxicity following contact with water you should rinse them immediately in clean, fresh water and contact your nearest vet.

Clinical signs of ingestion may include:
• Vomiting and diarrhoea
• Disorientation
• Breathing difficulty
• Excessive salivation
• Weakness or collapse
• Tremors
• Seizures

STAY SAFE this summer by following our top tips:

• Be extra vigilant for blue-green algae warning signs often shown around lakes and ponds.
• Monitor social media pages of local country parks for algae warnings.
• Always rinse your dog thoroughly after they have been swimming as the algae can lay in their fur and be ingested during licking.
• Take extreme caution allowing your dog to drink from stagnant water sources including garden ponds, garden pots & bird baths.
• Carry your own source of fresh water and bowl.

Imagine a stranger walking up into your personal space, Would it be okay if they said 'Dont worry I'm friendly' ?

SIZE MATTERS

Imagine being small.

Imagine being stuck in a corner.

Imagine that you are feeling trapped.

Imagine that your mum is trying to stop someone approaching

Imagine that you are scared🥶

Imagine that you are letting the approaching person know you don't want to be near them.

Imagine that whatever you do, this scary person won't go away.

Imagine that this person won't take no for an answer.

What do you do?

This is a frequent occurrence with small dogs. The friendly brigade who claim ALL DOGS LOVE THEM!!!

NO THEY DON'T

Putting dogs and their owners in a situation that they can't cope with is not helpful, kind, or friendly.

You are making an already worried dog even more worried.

You are ignoring the request of the dog's owner to back off which in turn makes them worried.

You are undoing lots of training to build up a dog's confidence which can set them back for months.

You are invading personal space by cornering them in a place where they can't escape.

You don't listen to their protestations to leave them alone.

ALL BECAUSE DOGS LOVE YOU

Wake up. Respect the communication being given to you.

If they were a German Shepherd, Rottweiler or Akita would you corner them?

I DON'T THINK SO

Please give a small dog the same respect and understanding.

❤💒 Getting to take gorgeous pooches to weddings is definitely a perk of the job 💒❤

The gorgeous Stanley came to stay while his mam and dad had their big day! We took Stan up to the venue where he put his perfect posing skills to good practice! 📸

💥 1 YEAR 💥 ( and 1 month 🤣)
You know it has been a crazy September when you even missed your own anniversary!
This month as always I am thankful to all our clients for your lovely support and more importantly your lovely doggos who come and make me smile every day!
