When you climb to the top of the scratch post for the first time all by yourself π€
Every five minutes, someone calls us to report an animal being abused π
No animal deserves cruelty. Just like us, they feel desperation, confusion and terror. They feel every punch, every broken bone and every burn.

Sammy was rescued after he was abandoned by his previous owner. He was found locked in a home along with a female dog and their 5 puppies.
Sammy was initially really stressed about coming into rescue kennels and found the other dogs around him scary π’. After lots of help from our team he's made amazing progress and now has so many new dog friends.
He's now on the search for his new home π‘ so if you're ready to start a new life with a rescue dog read more and apply to adopt here:

We love a rufty-tufty tom cat at Felledge, so Dodger is right up our street π
Dodger looks like he's been homeless his whole life; he had scars, broken teeth and a sore eye when he came to us last month but after a couple of operations he's feeling a lot better. He's even started to enjoy a fuss and make friends with our team π₯Ή. Just look at those slow blinks π₯°.

Lola our lovely Akita cross was suffering with a terrible case of sarcoptic mange when she was rescued by local RSPCA Inspectors. Sarcoptic mange (the same mite known as Scabies in people) is a treatable condition and could have been prevented with a simple spot on treatment from a vet. Instead of getting the help she needed Lola was left to suffer with itchy and painful skin.
Lola arrived into our care in January and with the care of our team her skin is now healthy and her fur is starting to grow back well. Luckily there is no lasting damage from her infection and she is now ready to find a new home. To find out more about Lola or apply to adopt click on the link below:

365 days condensed down to 8 minutes. This video is made up of behind the scenes clips from our team and updates from adopters showing just some of the many highlights from 2023.
Thank you to everyone who gave a home to a rescue animal, volunteered, donated to charity in the midst of a cost of living crisis and shared our posts to help find animals forever homes β€οΈ
Happy new year everyone β¨οΈ π₯³
Santa Paws has been! π
πΎ
Thank you for helping us create a special day for animals in rescue.
Since we only take animals that have come from situations involving cruelty, neglect, abandonment and injury it's so important to us to help them feel loved and we couldn't do that without your help β€οΈ
Merry Christmas π
Archie is feeling a bit sad today that he hasn't received any adoption applications yet π₯Ί

Poor Aaron is our poster boy to highlight the importance of neutering male cats πββ¬. Aaron was not neutered as a kitten and ended up as a stray. When he came across male cats, they fought, causing a nasty abscess on his face πΏ.
It took weeks of treatment from our team to get Aaron back to good health and he's now finally able to find a new home π₯°

Would you know what to do if you saw an animal in need? π¦π¦
Sadly, we just can't be there for every animal that needs help; this video explains what we can help with and who else can help in other situations.
Knowing this in advance will get the animal the help they need as quickly as possible.
If you need to ring us, you can reach us on 0300 1234 999 π. Thank you for your continued support to help animals in need π
Lola was rescued from her previous home when her owner failed to seek veterinary treatment and left her with a broken leg for weeks after she was bitten by a dog π€. The leg was badly infected and sadly could not be saved π’.
As a larger dog, Lola had to learn how to walk again on her remaining 3 legs. While she's not particularly active, she now loves a little potter π€ and even an occasional zoom!
Lola has recovered so well and has been an excellent resident during her time with us, but now it's time to find a forever home π‘.
If you're interested in offering Lola a forever home you can complete an application form here β¬οΈ

Lucas had some surprise post this week π¦π₯°
Thank you so much to Natalie and Lisa from Barnsley Police for this lovely care package. They saw first hand the awful state Lucas was in when he was rescued so they wanted to send him something to help him feel better β€οΈ
Lucas loved his treats. He didn't quite know what to do with his toy but soon got the hang of it π
Lucas continues to do really well and will soon be ready to find his new home π‘
