Just another normal day at the vets for us 😂😎 This beautiful boy is Thor the 3 year old African Spurred Tortoise 🐢 He came to see us as he had recently been adopted by his owners and they had noticed a bit of a sniffle! 🏩 At 12.3kg already, he was a very strong lad to try to get an antibiotic injection into but we managed eventually 😍 Hopefully this will have him on the mend in no time, but he was certainly the patient of the day! 🥰 We can’t wait to see how big you get Thor! ❤️
Did you know that the earlier you expose your puppy to having their nails trimmed, the more they get used to it as they grow up! 🥰
Here we have Podrick a 2 year old Golden Retriever 🐕 who has had his nails trimmed since 12 weeks old! He's so used to it that he rolls over for tummy tickles now! 🌟 Obviously some dogs are a little paw shy, but holding their paw once a day will slowly get them used to it! 🐾 And therefore make them a little less nervous when they come in for their nails! 🥰

❓💭Did you know💭❓According to Defra microchipping your cats will soon be a legal requirement! 🎉 From 10th June 2024 all owners must have their cats microchipped before the age of 20 weeks old 🐈⬛ This is brilliant news as it makes sure all those beautiful kitties are kept safe and able to be reunited with their owners if they go wandering 🐾❤️

This is Rolo the 2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 🤗 When he first came to visit the vets he wouldn’t walk inside, would hide under the chairs in reception, wouldn’t take any treats and would no way let anyone touch him 😢
This is a video of his 10th session with Becky our RVN 👩🏻⚕️ It had taken a lot of time and patience (3 and a half months to be precise!) but we have finally got to the stage where Rolo walks in the door with a wagging tail, runs straight up to Becky to say hello, will accept lots of fusses and even was jumping on her lap for treats! 🥺 Not only this, we are now able to get him in a consult room, place him on the table and listen to his chest with a stethoscope 🎉
The dedication and work that Rolo, his owner and the nursing team have put in is amazing, and he is now such a happy boy at the vets 🥰

Are you the smushiest boy around?! 🥰 This gorgeous little man is almost 2 year old Domestic Shorthair Buddy 🐱 He came to visit as he had a history of vomiting and was feeling a little under the weather 🌧️ We performed an ultrasound scan and ran some bloods but Buddy wasn’t giving much away! 🏩 He was sent home with some medication and we’re excited to have an update to see how he’s getting on ❤️🐈

This clever little one is Biba the 8 month old Bolognese 🥰. She came to see one of our vets as she has had irritation in her eyes for a little while 🏥. As you can see, she is fully in the holiday spirit, and couldn't resist showing off her skills of spinning! 😍 We hope you are feeling a bit better with the eye drops we gave you!

This little cutie is Opal who came in a few weeks ago to be spayed 💉🏥. Opal's owners reported she was doing really well, and acting as if she hadn't even had surgery🤩! We also received this absolutely adorable video of Opal taking her pain relief 🐇. Opal you are so well behaved taking your tasty pain relief so well! 🌟
Puppies 🥰
What a bundle of joy ❤️. These cuties are 9 week old Italian greyhound puppies that Shelly went to visit 🚐! They had their first vaccines and a cuddle from the vet and nurse! 😍
Having their second vaccines done at home means they are a lot more relaxed and happy in their own environment! 🥰
Tip the three legged cat 🥰
A little story about our beautiful girl Tip 📖❤️ Tip is an 8 year old kitty that came in as an emergency as she couldn’t walk on one back leg and it looked a little floppy 🤕 After some x-rays we found that she had broken both her tibia and her fibula 😱 The break was very close to a joint so would have been very tricky to fix, so sadly little Tip had to have her leg amputated 😔 Cats are extremely good at adapting to life with three legs as Tip is perfectly demonstrating here 🥰 She had her stitches removed 12 days after her op and has been signed off by our vet Matt 🎉👏🏻 We’re so unbelievably proud of this girl and wish her all the happiness in the world in her new three legged life 🐱🐾

You tell that fluffy mouse who’s boss Gizmo! 😍 This little monkey is Gizmo the 5 month old Sphynx kitty 🐱 He came to stay for the day for his castration surgery ✂️ He also had his microchip placed, which we often recommend for cats whilst under anaesthetic as the needle is a big one! 🙈 This way he could be chipped with no discomfort 🥰 He was immediately back to his cheeky self post op and enjoyed some play time with the nurses 🐈🐾

This very happy bunny is Lola! 🥰 she came to see our vet Matty as she was shaking her head a bit! 😢 After Matt took a skin sample it turned out Lola had ear mites! With a bit of medication and a lot of love she’ll be feeling better in no time! 😍

Yoda is a 4 month old Sphynx cat who came to see us to be castrated 🏥💉. Once he had recovered he spent the day playing in his kennel and his water bowl! 🧡

What a way to celebrate a Friday! 🎉 These gorgeous babies are 7 week old Border Collie puppies 🐕🐾 They were visited in the comfort of their home by our Van Visit team 🚑👩🏻⚕️ All had a health check and their microchips placed and were so very brave! ❤️ Well done cuties, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you all and good luck in your new homes! 🏡🥰
