With Dog First Aid - Derby and East Staffordshire – I just got recognised as one of their rising fans! 🎉

Short little training video of one of our young labs Here she is learning to "Go Back" a command we use when we want to send our dogs out for a retrieve. Also she is learning her direction of left and right hand signals. These are used to direct your dog eventually at distance onto game etc. These are all the basic foundations to instill in your dog. These cannot be rushed and your dog will not be taut other commands until we are sure that she understands what is required. These are what I call the foundations. If you don't put foundations down when building a house the walls will fall down. I have seen the basics rushed far to often. Even with experienced handlers Because they all want to get onto the next step. Don't rush these even though they are time consuming and very boring. You will reap the reward later. A good handling dog on a shoot or working test or field trial is a credit to its Handler ..
