Compassionate handling & the dogs welfare are the most important. In the doggy house is run by Megan Bracey, who moved her business to mill race garden centre begin of 2019. In the doggy house was originally set up from a log cabin from Megan’s back garden in 2014. Megan studied animal care & dog grooming at Otley College. She International certified master groomer (ICMG) She has also passed her e

xams for certified salon professional (csp), certified professional groomer (cpg), certified advanced professional groomer (Capg). This qualification is recognised in 27 countries. Megan keeps up to date with the lastest equipment, products & grooming trends. She attends many seminars & dog shows which include first aid training, breed specific demonstration, crufts and discover dogs. Megan has also competed a few times in dog grooming competitions. She was placed 2nd in the open spaniel & setter class at Premier groom in 2018 with a handstrip gordon setter. Also competing at English Groomers Challenge 2019 and placed 3rd in advanced gundog with a handstrip Gordon setter. Megan enjoys being apart of this amazing industry and the love & care she offers can be shown by the amount of returning customers.

Well, I've completed my first week in the new salon 🥰

I just wanted to day thank you to all my amazing clients who have supported me & followed me over to the new location ❤️

I also want to take a moment to say thank you to this amazing woman- Aimee ❤️
She has been in my life for nearly 6 years and we have become best friends over that time. I appreciate her so much. She has supported me so much over the past few weeks with everything that's gone on. I'm so glad that I get spend every day at work with my best friend. We used to speak every day anyway when we worked separately - at least we can save on our phone data 🤣.

Here's to our future working alongside each other 🐶

Hello everyone!!
As some of you may already be aware that I'm moving premises.
Well, the move has happened a bit sooner than I originally planned, but hey ho, we roll with it 😎

I am now officially located in Tiptree. Within my best friend Aimee's salon - Bubbles & cuddles dog groomers. Co5 0LX. We are situated between the water tower & pet shop. And 0.3miles from perrywoods garden centre.

We shall be sharing the salon between our two separate businesses and working alongside each other. This was an amazing opportunity for both myself & Aimee. ✨️

I do apologise if this is the first time some of you are finding out about my move, I have messaged everyone who had an appointment booked in with me from now until Xmas. But I have had to message about 400 clients. It's been hard trying to keep track of everything.

I look forward to welcoming you all to my new location. I would love to thank all my clients past present for their support and love ❤️

Having Miles has given the urge to get back into grooming competitions 🏆 Some of my clients might not know this about me, but I have placed 2nd & 3rd in previous competition with a Gordon setter. But I haven't done any competition since 2019 😲 We still have a way to go and I need a little more practice and Miles need abit more hair, but this is something I want to work towards in future. Time to oil them scissors ✂️ 🐶

Introducing the newest member of my pack, Miss Pearl 💜 This is the reason for me so quiet recently, my Doris gave birth to 5 babies which have been keeping us very busy over the last few weeks but we have loved every minute of it. Doris has been an amazing mum, and Lexi is a good aunty to them all 🐾🐶 Thank you to everyone who has moved their appointments around for me while I've been off caring for the puppies, it's been stressful at times but that little face is so worth it 💜 (All puppies are spoken for)

Our Story

In The Doggy House is a professional dog groomer company, based in Stanway, Colchester. In The Doggy house is run by Megan Bracey who has studied animal care and dog grooming at Otley College. Megan has a Level 2 diploma in Animal Care, Level 3 diploma in Animals Management and also a diploma in Pet Grooming. Megan is also on her way to becoming a International Certified Master Groomer, having already passed 5 exams, gaining Master marks. She has also competed a few time, placing 2nd in the Setter & Spaniel class at Premier Groom. In The Doggy House is happy to accept all breeds of dogs, and also happy to accept different temperaments and meet each owner/dogs individual needs. Only one dog is groomed at any one time to make it a stress -free, calm and friendly environment. This is great way to build up a groomer to dog friendship.
