Thank you so much to all our very generous supporters for contributing to our collection point at Tesco Sheringham. We currently have 35 cats in foster in and around Norfolk whilst the works are underway getting the new sanctuary up and running - more information about our first Open Day at Antingham to follow over the next few days 🐾

Event for all adults interested in helping their neighbours

During our move last weekend, an incident occurred surrounding our decision to use alternative foster accommodation for ten of our cats. At the last minute, we discovered that the original intended site had had multiple break-ins, one very recently, and the cats would be left unsupervised at night. Our priorities at NNCLT are the rescue and safely rehoming of the cats in need in North Norfolk, and we will not be bullied or coerced into putting our cats in danger under any circumstances.
It has come to our attention that there have been serious and defaming reactions to our decision over this, involving innocent members and supporters of NNCLT and fellow organisations. We deeply regret that this has happened and apologise to all who have been affected. Those that have taken this action are not representative of us, and we wish you to know that this behaviour will not be tolerated by the Trust. Personal feelings aside, the safety of the cats must always come first.

Due to illness and holidays we are quite short-staffed at the moment. If anyone could offer a couple of hours help between 10am and 12 on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday in the next couple of weeks we'd be very grateful

14/02/2019

We are so grateful for all the offers already coming for help with our forthcoming move, not least to the lovely people of Antingham Village Hall who have so kindly offered NNCLT the lease of the land adjoining the hall for our new premises.
We now need to get everyone together so we have decided to open up our next members meeting to anyone that would like to help with this massive task. We will need all aspects of DIY - Painting/decorating, plumbing, electrics, carpentry...plus general help with packing and removals. If you would like to be a part of this and can offer any sort of help, we'd love to see you at the meeting on Friday 1st March 6pm at Sheringham Community Centre. Do let us know in advance that you're coming so we can accommodate everyone.
Many thanks 🐾

Thousands of cats are just disposed of every year without being scanned for a chip after being involved in RTAs. Owners search for months and years and never get closure. Scanning takes two minutes. Cats are a part of a family and deserve to be returned home, not thrown into landfill.

18/01/2019

At the moment, drivers only legally have to tell the police if they run over a dog or other animals including goats, horses and cattle :-(
