Hi everyone.

As many of you know, 8pm today sees the conclusion of the first week of the BAS National Show Stud Service Auction.

Inca Optimo is offered this week and it's a great opportunity to pick up a service to our 'In House' sire.

He is sired by the now deceased Snowmass Bronze Royalty of Artwork and his dam is our two time Supreme Champion black female Inca Incognito.

Inca Optimo is the latest male to pass all tests and meet our strict performance markers in order to join our stable of herd sires. This young male was the standout alpaca in our 2020 cohort and his growth and quality has continued to impress.
Conformationally this male is extremely sound, with excellent substance of bone, fiber coverage, balance and correct aspects to each part of his attractive frame. Inca Optimo has also been selected for his fast growth, early weaning, early maturation and aversion to worms, coccidia and mites.
The fleece on this new sire is very advanced and highly productive. The density and uniformity of the fibres that are highly aligned, matched with great brightness, not only give the fleece a wonderful handle but also a very big cutting weight.
With such quality genetics being introduced on both sides of his pedigree and being unrelated to many black lines in the UK, Inca Optimo is going to be an integral part of our black breeding programme for many years to come.

We have had a fabulous few days at the Devon County Show, it was well organised and enjoyable as always and the sun was shining the entire time. The judge offered comprehensive oral reasoning and explanations that kept both exhibitors and the public interested from start to finish.

Wow, what a great event the World Alpaca Conference and Expo was.
Four days of halter show, fleece show, lectures and trade stands.
It was wonderful to catch up with so many friends from across the world, hear all the latest news and also meet many new breeders.
I would like to thank Thomas Potsch and his team for their hospitality and effort. The future certainly looks bright here in Europe.

Ellingham & Ringwood Show 2022

Last month we travelled to Hampshire to compete in the short fleece show. We took nine huacayas in the colours of black, grey and brown.

Thank you to the organsiers, especially Di Davies and also to the judge Shirley Bettinson who worked really hard in the searing heat.

We were extremely lucky to win a number of championships including Supreme with Inca Law Enforcer.
