Here at K9 Dog Services , dogs are my passion. From working in boarding kennels for many years as a teenager ,to owning ,training and showing my own , i have always loved working with dogs. My experience with our canine companions is extensive and spans several decades. I offer an affordable , professional , reliable and trustworthy service .I am flexible and understand the need to be able to work

around dog owners busy schedules ,to satisfy the needs of the dog . Your dog is in safe hands with me , i treat each and every dog as if it was my own .Your dogs safety ,health and well-being is my top priority . I walk a maximum of 4 dogs at a time. All dogs are taken to a variety of dog friendly locations. I ensure each walk is tailor made to suit the dogs i have, meaning that each and every one of them are both physically and mentally stimulated. Above all, i ensure maximum fun and enjoyment is had by every dog . Risk assessments are carried out on all locations prior to the first visit. All dogs are vetted , only dogs that are socially accepting of other dogs will be walked as part of the group.

Wednesday’s Balloch walk . With temps hitting 21 degrees I decided to head mostly under the canopy towards the Windy hill trail . There is plenty of shade and fresh running water to keep
The Dogo’s hydrated and out of the harmful rays . These is an all action pack and there’s plenty of running and frolicking with this lot . Today I was joined by Labs George & Oscar , Lab cross Cooper , Cockerpoo Wilma , working cocker Ben , Springers Jura , Pipp , Jessica & Angela and my Boston Bree . 😃🐶😍👍🏻

Fridays afternoon Balloch walk . With the temps hitting 22 plus it was about making sure the dogs were watered and cooled down , what better place than Loch Lomond . The early part of the walk was spent on the Windy Hill trail under the canopy for shade so the water fun acted to cool the dogs down before heading back to the van . The dogs had a brill time . I was joined by SPRINGER - JURA , PIPP & ANGELA , Labs , OSCAR , JAX & COOPER and COCKERPOO WILMA 😃🐶😍👍🏻

Last week saw a lot of rain fall , in fact monsoon was a kind word for it . The bonus for me is that I have a large number of working breeds on my books and they don’t care what the weather does , everyday is a play day whatever the weather. Well with the heavy rain came natural paddling pools and boy did they all have fun !!! On this afternoons walk to Havoc I was joined by HUGO , JURA , PIPP , ANGELA & JESSICA the Springers , Molly , Roman , Red , Cooper & Rio the Working Cockers , Oscar the Lab and Nero the Poodle 😃🐶😍💦💧🌨️x

Whilst we all look forward to this New year with optimism and Excitement it’s also a time to spare a thought to those not so fortunate. Last week a very special dog I walked for many years passed suddenly after a bout of illness .
Molly the Springer .
she was joined earlier in the year by Alfie the lab who again I’d walked for near 9 years , he passed after a brave battle with cancer and the year before Monty the Border Collie who again coupled with old age had an illness he couldn’t recover from . All three of these dogs meant the world to me , they were part of my first pack and were foundation dogs to the many packs I’d form throughout the years .

Molly was a true springer , full of energy and running , she loved a ball , a stick or even a stone ( she got the latter habit from Alfie ) Molly loved being part of a pack and loved the hills , harder the walk the better for Molly , she like many working dogs I walk would go out in any weather and I mean any weather . She adored Monty and Alfie and shared hundreds of walks with them through the years . My heart goes out to Christine , Ralph & Jon her fabulous owners who gave Molly simply the best life a dog could have . Thank you so much for entrusting me in being her walker through the years , she was an amazing dog inside and out and will be sorely missed but never and I mean never forgotten.

Alfie the lab , god this still hurts , he was the pup from over my fence , my neighbours dog so he was part of my everyday life for 9 years . I walked him from 20 weeks old , what a dog , what a machine . From 20 weeks old this pup would dive in the Clyde at Dumbarton castle and come up with seaweed from the bottom . No word of a lie , 20 weeks old . As an adult he had no equal as a swimmer , I saw him swim out at high tide at Ardmore point and retrieve a stick which was more like a tree trunk bigger than himself and returned at the point he went in . That tide was strong and moving like a speeding train . I’ve never again seen anything like it . Alfie was a top dog all round , great temperament, he got on with every dog and could be placed in any pack . Extremely intelligent , he was a workhorse, always wanted something to do . That could mean carry huge sticks or boulders he had no right to be carrying in his mouth for there size and weight and he would carry the length of the walk . J***y & Lynsey , what a dog , thanks again for letting me walk this magical dog . He was your world and big brother to your little boy Harry who he absolutely doted on and followed all day long when not on his pack walk . There will never be another lab like him . He like Molly is folklore amongst the fabulous dogs I walk .

Monty the Border collie . My lieutenant , man what a dog was like losing my left arm . He was my Alpha dog and
Led every pack he was on . We had a near telepathic understanding , he knew my walks like the back of his paws , he led the line fussed over the others , corrected them when needed , would shepherd the pups and newbies to the pack . He was though a one man dog , would not allow any other human to accompany us on any walk . He would down tools and simply stand and bark to they got the message . It was like he was scared they would steal his job . Another thing he loved was the water which was rare for a collie , wherever we went where there was water he was in it and he would hog it to he had to get out . This has been a few years now since Monty passed it feels like yesterday such was our bond . I’ve thanked Collette & Rachel a thousand times for allowing me to walk this mythical dog and I’ll thank you another thousand times .

Molly, run free darling , run your heart out with your forever pack mates Alfie & Monty . I’ll see you all again on the other side and we will bust those trails again . Till then , brighten the Heavens .

Happy New year everyone , hope you all have had a fab Christmas and wishing you all the very best for 2024 now that it’s arrived . Thanks again for all your support this past year and through the years . April sees me 10 years as a walker and I’ve loved every minute of it . I love my job , I love dogs and I’m truly blessed to have such fabulous clients who not only entrust me to walk their dogs , they treat me like family . There really isn’t anything more rewarding to me than that . So from the bottom of my heart thank you . It works both ways , you all know your dog is my dog in my care , you know I’ll be there , if I can stand on both feet however I feel I be there , no excuses through Snow , rain , wind & thunder , through Gail force winds and storms even Pandemics I’ll be there for you and those fabulous dogs of yours . Every walk treated like my first . Hell when Armageddon arrives and your ring door bell goes , don’t bet on an ‘ AVENGING ANGEL ‘ being there before me . Today’s crags trail walk via Overtoun House was special . Today we not only had One but Two Lab pups join the pack . OSCAR the Red Labrador pup joined me last week and has had 3 group walks under his belt . In this time I’ve developed a strong bond, established recall to the whistle and seen his confidence climb through the roof , you would think he’s been with us three months not one week , not only is he getting to burn that huge amount of energy that he has but also he’s receiving the best kind of socialisation A pup can get from being part of a pack built up of several breeds with differing ages and energies . It was Archie’s ( golden Labrador ) pups maiden walk today and my god did he do his owner proud . The shivering scared pup I removed from the van at the start of the walk very quickly changed into a confident , fun loving pack mate , again I bonded quickly , gained his trust and off Archie went , he grasped his recall within minutes , easier when you have seasoned pack mates to show you what’s what , but non the less certainly impressive for his first walk , I was literally bursting with pride on just how well he done . These two pups were joined by a pack I built of seasoned dogs who know exactly how I operate and what’s expected of them , these fabulous dogs were perfect to show these pups ‘Pack dynamics ‘ and a very good time . Oscar & Archie the lab pups were joined by Hugo , Jura , Pipp , Jessica & Angie the Springers , working cockers Molly & Cooper & Rio , Poppy the Sprocker , Milo the Poochon and Nero the Poodle .😃🐶😍

Friday afternoons walk at Balloch park . On a day when the temps are hitting 28 I tend use the walks where there is a good offering of cover and fresh water . The castle entrance at Balloch heading onto the ‘Windy Hill ‘ trail offers plenty of leafy cover where we can then follow the natural stream down to the lock so the dogs can do a bit of Skinny dipping !!! The dogs were in their element and had so much fun but at the same time kept cool and safe . Springers Hugo , Jura , Pipp , Angela & Jessica , lab Lucy amd Poppy the Sprocker had a fabulous time . What a job I have taking in these beauties having this much fun 😃🐶😍x

Monday Afternoon Balloch walk . It was a beautiful day to have a maiden group and Wilma the Cockerpoo and Cooper the Lab cross lost no time joining in with their group pack mates , Lucy & Jax the labs , Hugo, Jura , Pipp , Angela & Jessica the Springer spaniels . This is very much a fun packed all action pack with plenty of running .Needless to say Wilma & cooper loved the company of their new doggy pals and had a blast 😃🐶😍

I get a loads of brilliant receptions when arriving to collect my dogs , they know the sound of my van , the key in the door and then the excitement begins ….. This is the reception I get from Olly the Cavapoo who literally does me a dance ,he’s that excited . Just love this little dog and I think the feeling is mutual 😃😂🐶😍😘x

This week sees me 9 years as a Dog walker . In this time I’ve evolved quite a bit and I’m 3 vans in . Each time improving what I can offer to my dogs and their clients . Each van was and is professionally caged , cages that have been custom made to fit each van . Cages with escape hatches should I be involved in an accident . Cages that can be removed wether a car crashes into me side or rear . Cages that can be removed for intensive cleaning and that can be transported across to a rental van should mine be off the road in a drop of a hat . No loose doggies crashing about in my van , no movement with the cages in transit . Cages built from heat deflecting polymer plastics and galvanised steel by Lintran the best in the game . There’s proper air circulation with an external air fan making sure fresh air is constantly being circulated on the move . Keeping dogs cool in the warmer months and helping to remove moisture build up in the colder months .Each time the best got better . My own dogs deserve the best and safest form of travel so why wouldn’t yours ? Like I said from the start , my ethos - ‘ YOUR DOG IS MY DOG IN MY CARE ‘ 😃🐶

Sad to say bye for now to Rua the Viszla . I’ve walked this handsome boy from a pup for close to a year . His owners are moving out of the ‘SHIRE ‘ to an area outwith my walking catchment. Me and your pack mates are going to really miss you Rua-by Doo . Just want wish his owners Meghan and Rory all the very best in their new home and thank you so much for letting me walk and train such handsome and intelligent dog 🐶😃x

Aww so nice to have this wee guy back after a couple of years . I walked Rolo the Red Miniature Dachshund from a pup a few years back , sadly his owners sold house and moved down to Helensburgh, slightly out of my walking areas , I was gutted as we had a fab bond . Two weeks ago I had a message to say that they had moved back to Dumbarton and that they were hoping I had a space for Rolo to return . I was overjoyed to say the least . I popped around to see Rolo and he recognised me straight away squealing with joy , jumping up and licking my hand . Today was his first walk back and he slotted back in as if he had never been away . The dogs were so happy to see him and he even had two other Dachshund’s to play with too in Jess and Dudley . Can’t tell how good it felt to see him back and having fun . Big thanks to the Glover family for bringing MY BOY HOME . 😃🐶😍

Todays crags walk via Overtoun House . It was Loki the lab pups maiden group walk and it took no time at all to establish recall and to bond with him , this bright pup thoroughly enjoyed the company of the other experienced pack members. This kind of socialisation is worth it’s weight in Gold to young dogs . Today Loki was joined by lab Jax , Rua the Viszla , Saroo the Jack Russell , Obi the Sprocker , cooper the Working Cocker and Springers Evie , Hugo , Jura , Pipp , ANGELA & Jessica . All the dogs as per usual had a great time as did I 😃🐶👍🏻

Todays crags Trail walk via Overtoun House . It was lovely to see how far the 3 Springer pups have come in the last couple of weeks , gone are the shaking and squealing , now all three Angela , Jessica and Dougle are Brimming with confidence , their recall is spot on and they are becoming confident pack members . Today these gorgeous Springer pups were joined by fellow springers Hugo , Jura & Pipp , working Cocker Ben , Lab Jax and Viszla Rua . There’s going to be so much fun and frolics for these young pups in the weeks , months and years ahead . 😃🐶😍

Friday afternoons walk on the Windy Hill trail Balloch park . Very quiet at Balloch park and we have the back woods via the castle to ourselves . The dogs were in great spirits , seeming them running free and thoroughly enjoying themselves fills me with joy . Today I was joined by Hugo , Jura , Pipp and Indy the Springers , cooper the Working Cocker , Rua the Viszla , Lucy the Lab and Gus the Frenchie 😃🐶👍🏻

Todays walk at Havoc . What a week it’s been for Retriever pup Simba , I’m this past week he’s had a solid Socialisation grounding and learned recall to the whistle even though he has the distraction of the great outdoors and the excitement of his doggy pals too . He really has impressed this week and absolutely loves his new doggy pals . Today he was joined by Rover the Boarder collie , Jack Russells Kayla , Ava, Murphy and Saroo , working cockers cooper & Roman , jug paddy , lab Wilson , Milo the Poochon and Baba the Chiuaaha 😃🐶😍
