Just a little moment for Ruby, who’s been making some lovely progress on her paired walks❤️

Ruby’s intention when meeting new dogs is to make friends but she often gets overwhelmed in the moment and tends to panic; making her appear anxious and snappy around other dogs. For this reason, we moved Ruby to a paired walk with my own dog, Benji, to help guide her in her socialisation with new dogs under a controlled environment, and ultimately boost her confidence and skills in these once tricky situations.
She’s still got a way to go, but so far so good!

This week we welcomed new boy Wilson to the group! This sweet little sausage has had a lovely couple of trial walks and has had lots of fun making some new friends☺️

We also had a special visit from my sister, and the lovely Rommy of got to join one of our group walks too!

This week I received the absolutely devastating news that the beautiful Bruno had passed away.
Bruno was such a sweet, loving and kind boy. He had so many friends here at All Star K9 and was always so polite and patient with all the dogs, especially our more anxious ones who in turn absolutely adored him. He was truly part of the family here and my heart aches for and with his owners. You will be missed so much not only by me but by the whole pack, dear Bruno🤍🪽

It’s going to be hot next week, so some walks Mon - Thurs may be moved or changed slightly to ensure everyone stays safe.
Please check your messages for any updates to your dogs usual walking slot.
I’ll be making sure we stick to shady areas and offering plenty of water, and if necessary shortening the walks.

My holiday dates for the remainder of the year!

I will be off on Thursday 25th July, and again on Monday 4th November just for the day. Then I will be off from Friday 20th December for the Christmas & New Year period, returning to walks on Thursday 2nd January.

1-2-1 with Ruby yesterday where we worked on her loose-lead walking. Ruby is still a very excitable little pup and like most loves to run ahead and explore - so we’ve been working on what it means to meet the end of the lead, and rewarding her return after feeling a bit of lead pressure🐾 #dogwalking #dogtraining #dogwalker #121walks #structuredwalks🐕 #ely

These videos may not seem like much, but for Rosie it was a big achievement… I started my walks with Rosie 2 weeks ago - she is easily overstimulated, overwhelmed and when with her owners can be reactive. When I first took Rosie out, I could call her name as much as I like, turn to walk her the other way, offer a multitude of treats and distractions but nothing could get her to disengage from the world around her; it was impossible to get any focus at all. However today has proven that all the hard work really is paying off and she managed amazingly as I tested her in the busy Ely town centre. After taking some time to process everything around us and get comfortable, she began to check-in with me and continued to throughout our walk!! You have smashed your session today Rosie and I’m so proud of you❤️ #dogtraining #dogwalking #ely
