Well folks, that’s a wrap for Debonaire Dog Grooming!

After nearly 5 wonderful years I closed my door for the last time this evening. I’ve had the most amazing time meeting all my wonderful customers and their beautiful dogs…I can genuinely say I’ve had the BEST DOGS since day 1! I’d like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your dogs, it’s been an absolute pleasure.

Hi all,

I’m starting to feel a little more human after one of the most horrendous weeks I’ve ever had. I thought I’d been lucky enough to completely dodge Covid but a trip to London put paid to that, it’s really not fun!

I’ve also had a bout of kennel cough within the gang, all customers notified and policies in place to ensure no cross contamination risk. Then to add insult to injury, Cerys developed an ear infection……

Seen this on another site and it really made me laugh, plus brought back some funny childhood memories!

When I was a kid our dog Tara would go bananas whenever she would hear my mum or dad say to me “Julie, Tara needs out”. My dad developed a code, looking back it wasn’t really that cryptic though, he’d say “Kitchen Pulley, McNamara needs Brussel Sprout” 😂😂

We just keep it simple now and spell it to each other “D.O.G.S need O.U.T?” 🐾😂

London….the gift that keeps giving!!!

Just tested and am positive for the lurgy 😖😖😖. It just feels like a heavy cold at the moment so I’m happy to groom all dogs booked in, obviously I’ll be masked up and take all precautions though.

If anyone would rather not attend their groom I will totally understand.

Hi folks,

That’s me just home! A 2 day delay and the poorest customer service I’ve ever experienced. No updates from airline and literally thousands of passengers wandering around airport with no idea what was happening.

Anyway….now that I’m back I’m working through diary for those of you I had to cancel. You’ll still all be groomed in time for Santa, that’s a promise! If I haven’t been in touch already you’ll hear from me shortly.

British Airways are a complete joke and have cancelled flights again today. Runway is clear and other flights leaving ok. I’m here for another night guys so need to cancel all tomorrows grooms. I’m very sorry but there’s obviously no way I can avoid this.

Im currently stranded in London due to weather. We were due to fly home yesterday evening but snow hit about 6:30 and shut the runways.

At this time we’re scheduled to fly this afternoon but it’s not looking too great at the moment.

If I need to cancel grooms I’ll let each of you know ASAP.

Stands like an angel for her groom & teeth cleaning then the minute I lift camera she’s bouncing about like Zebedee 😂. I do adore her though, her tail never stops wagging and she’s full of affection. 🥰🐾❤️

I am so proud of this beautiful girl, Lana the Springer Spaniel. 🥰 Lana used to come in very nervous and shaking for her groom, she was never a fan. Not only is she walking in ahead of mum now but she even has a waggy tail! She stands quite happily for every aspect now and even accepts a wee treat once we’re finished, she’s turned into a big brave soldier! Such a good girl! 😍🐾❤️

My poor wee dogs were climbing the walls this morning. My sprained ankle means they’ve had nowhere near the amount of exercise they’d normally have. To give them a good run we went up to their favourite secure field Mutts O'Muckhart. They ran about like maniacs and I hobbled from one bench to another with my flask of coffee. It was stunning up there today. ❄️🐾❤️☀️

I was trying to find a video that shows the sheer amount of hair you can get from a small smooth coated breed after a bath/deshed. It’s hard to see from video but it was like a blizzard in here with all Pedros hair, he’s just the best snuggler though 😂🐾❤️

A bit about me - I’ve realised that there is so much more to life that the daily commute and staring at a computer screen for 9 hours per day. Once that epiphany sank in I decided that I wanted to spend my time doing something that I was truly passionate about, made me happy and I really enjoyed...so what better thing to do than spend my day with doggies!

Being ‘the best you can be’ is something that really matters to me, with this in mind I have trained to Diploma level City & Guilds with one of the best dog grooming trainers in the business. I also hold Canine First Responder & Canine First Aid certificates and am currently studying canine massage. You can rest assured that your dog will be in safe and caring hands with me, they will be treated as though they were one of my own.

I have had dogs all of my life and currently own (or am owned by?) two Patterdale Terriers, Molly & Bailey. Molly is a sweet little girl who loves everyone and everything under the sun, Bailey...well he’s a different story but one of the most affectionate little dogs you’d ever meet. Both of them train in Dog Agility, Bailey has been placed at several competitions and also had a recent win, Molly....well she’s really only in it for the sausages!

I am based from home and working out of my newly converted garage. My salon contains top of the range equipment in a calm and relaxing environment for dogs and their owners.

There will also be an opportunity to desensitise puppies and young dogs to the noises and smells in the grooming salon, feel free to speak to me about this and arrange a visit for your youngster (really just an excuse for me to hang out with puppies!).
