Salon update:
We will be back to business as of tomorrow (Monday)
The mess on road isn’t great however not as bad as expected, and the drains are starting to drop in water so I see no reason now why we cannot get back to work.

We managed to survive the floods and our home wasn’t affected thankfully, but the aircon unit is still fully submerged in water so not sure that will get off as lightly, but it’s a small price to pay considering.

Watching and helping my wonderful neighbours has been incredibly hard, especially when you feel so powerless - I think I need a week to mentally recover.

I just need to say - A massive thank you to the guys from national grid who worked around the clock pumping out our sub station to allow the village to keep electric, you guys were incredible and helped keep the spirits up in the street, even when we went into total darkness.

Please do be patient while I try and re jig my diary.. I understand you are all wanting appointments. I’ll be in touch as soon as I have managed to sort out those I have cancelled.

Lastly, I would like to thank you all for your patience, support and offers of help. Let’s hope we can continue 2024 happy, healthy and stress free.

Flood update
The water is finally starting to slowly move but it’s taking its time.

I currently have no idea if we will be back open on Monday but will keep you all updated as things continue to change. I will be in touch tomorrow evening regarding Mondays appointments.

Let’s hope the water is down enough and we can get back to work to avoid anymore disruption.

The salon will be closed until further notice due to flooding.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and we do hope to see you very soon.

I am so terribly sad today to see people in such distress and can only sit and hope the levels stop rising.

Today we have a little lodger.. his parents are flooded so while they get sorted he is here with me.

Lots of love, cuddles and warmth little man.

Price increase Jan 2024
I have put off having a price increase for as long as possible but unfortunately as a small business this is no longer viable.
With the cost of running a business continuing to rise I am having to implement a price increase as of 1st January 2024.
This will be between £3-£5 per dog, please contact me if you would like more details or individual increases.

Good evening all..
As bonfire night is coming to a close for another year I do hope you’ve all managed to keep our lovely little friends safe and stress free.

Flea treatment update…
Can I remind you all to check your flea treatment is up to date.
Please do re read Front line packing as the regularity of use has changed which I believe has caught a few of you out.
Minster vets are currently doing a great deal with prices being based upon your dogs weight - offering packages for flea and wormer treatment.

Unfortunately moving forward, there will be a charge added for fumigation of the salon which is stated in the T&C’s of business and payment will be required upon immediate collection for any dog found with fleas.

Dogs must wear collars with identity tags and be microchipped when they’re out in public🐾

🐶Your dog must be chipped from 8 weeks old, and their collar must have your name and contact number on it. This will help you get your dog back should it be lost or stolen.

Owners can be fined for non-compliance, so having a spare tag engraved in case your dog’s tag goes missing is useful!

Resident princess poppy has decided to take shelter while I get some paperwork in order, and it’s looking highly likely she’ll want to postpone her walk as she hates the rain.
Please remember to be careful in flooded areas and keep away from swollen rivers/ditches.
Let’s hope it passes and we have some autumn sunshine very soon ☔️ 💨 🌞

RIVERSIDE GROOMING TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2023

CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOWS
You are requested to give a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancelling appointments. Failure to give the required notice will result in a £30.00 cancellation fee. This also applies for any missed appointments. Payment for the failed appointment will need to be received by bacs upon booking your next appointment. Please be punctual... on time to drop off and to collect your dog. I do not hold a licence for boarding… although, I will always try and accommodate where possible.
Riverside Grooming reserves the right to refuse the groom if you are more than 15 minutes late for the appointment, with the appointment being charged at full cost and paid by bacs before the next appointment is booked.

NEGLECTED AND MATTED COATS
I practice humanity before vanity.
Under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 (Cause 5 – animals are protected from pain, injury, suffering…)
If a coat is presented too matted to brush out comfortably then the coat will be shaved off to prevent all the above. This may cause a slight rash or irritation due to matting being so close to the skin. I accept no liability for any issues that may occur over this procedure. Matted coats will incur an extra £10.00 charge upwards depending on severity.

FLEAS
Please inspect your dog and treat regularly for fleas with a recommended product. If you are un sure please contact your registered vets for advice.
Any dog found to have fleas will incur and extra charge of £10.00. This covers the cost of flea shampoo, extra deep cleaning time and fumigation of the premises.

"Can't take him to the beach for a walk because he bothers you and messes with the holiday... I'm not allowed to rent a house if I have a dog, and I can't take him.
However, I can take him to the rubble to find you after an earthquake, in the woods after you get lost in the mountains and you didn't have neither map nor gps; under snow because you made a detour not allowed off track; in the water because, despite the red flag, you have entered the sea and your life is in danger! And finally ....
He's just a dog, but he will find you.

We are seeing an increasing number of customers who are parking and blocking the dropped kerbs of neighbouring drive ways.
Can you please ensure when dropping off, and collecting your dogs all drives ways are kept clear.
