Both super mares

Another British point-to-point graduate scored under rules when Pop The Question scored in a Hexham hurdle race on Sunday at odds of 50/1.

Then Kilmore Rock, another horse who was racing in British point-to-points last season, won the second division of Hexham's same hurdle at 8/1. Kilmore Rock finished second at Corbridge in April on his first start in a British point-to-point when trained and ridden by Joe Wright. He has since joined the stable of Susan Corbett.

Homebred 'To Chase A Dream' won the bumper for Mrs Davenport, Monsun Storm running another cracking race for a dead heat in the Open and Cool Desire also finished 3rd in the conditions race. Ridden by

Ground work is the key and is often missed out, its a valuable step to gain confidence in both horse and rider.
Here is a thoroughbred filly by 'Black Sam Bellamy' long reining and leaning over. She will be ridden away with an understanding of going forward into a contact in both her trot and canter work before going into training.

Great to start the season on Sunday with a winner on our lovely mare 'Cimetta' hoping her half brother 'I Like to Move it' can do the same in another grade 2 at Ascot on Friday! 🍀

Also the old boy 'Monsun Storm' finished a respectable 4th in the men's open 🙌🏼

Last week we were lucky enough to attend the NH Thoroughbred Breeders Awards dinner and we were honoured to pick up the prize for the best British bred national hunt flat horse of the year with 'I Like to Move it' who we named Rupert! We look forward to following him throughout his career.
