⚠️❗️Weather Warning❗️⚠️

The next week or so is to be incredibly hot. Please look after dogs in this heat. It can easily be fatal.

Here's some tips on how to keep them cool:

🔹Do NOT exercise them in this heat. They will not die from not being exercised but may very well die from heat stroke. Even a walk in the morning may be too hot as this morning it was 23 degrees by 8am. Particularly the Brachycephalic breeds (short snout).

🔹Ensure all your animal has shelter or shade if possible.

🔹Constant access to clean, fresh water is an absolute must.

🔹Provide a paddling pool for your dog but keep it in the shade.

🔹If you think your dog may be suffering from heat stoke then you need to act fast. Cool the patient with cold water all over as soon as possible and call a veterinarian.

🔹Know the warning signs of heat stroke:
❗️Excess panting / breathing
❗️Drooling
❗️Lethargy
❗️Sticky, pale (white) gums

Please keep yourselves and animals safe in the coming heat. Don’t underestimate the toll it can have on pets

REUNITED ♥️♥️♥️♥️STOLEN DOG. YOUR HELP IS URGENTLY NEEDED.

UPDATE!
Just to clarify. Yes we do check all our homes thoroughly. Dax has been in her home for 7 years with no issue. A mistake has been made which her owners deeply regret and are paying the ultimate price. We have tried to remain professional but since the matter has been raised Mayflower were contacted when the chip was unobtainable. The guy on the phone said he was calling the dog warden and she would go to Sheffield pound as the vets were closing. We said we would pick her up from there.
Sadly Dax never got to the pound and we can not give any further information as to why the finder acted as they did. Suffice to say what is important now is finding Dax. We are so grateful to you all for sharing her post, for reporting in potential leads and for the continuing support Dax and her family are receiving. Please continue to share for her and we respectfully ask that contributors respect the traumatic situation Dax’s family find themselves in. PLEASE HELP US TO GET HER HOME SAFELY. THANK YOU.

This is Dax, rehomed by us.

Dax went missing from the PARSON CROSS area SHEFFIELD (S5) around lunchtime 2nd June 2022.
She got out of the garden due to a hole in the fence. Brindle and white, Dax isn’t wearing a collar.

Dax was found and taken to a local vet. She was turned away with advice to take her to the local pound!

We now understand that the finder has handed her on to a young man on HALIFAX ROAD but has no contact details and this has been reported to the police.

On the 3rd of June at approximately 20.45pm there is a report of a group of males trying to sell a dog matching her description in the FOX MILL / KILNER WAY area of SHEFFIELD.

We are asking if there is anyone who knows anything and can help locate Dax to come forward. There is a Dogs Lost Page set up for her. Ref 176255.
PLEASE HELP US GET DAX BACK SAFELY.
