STICKY WEED/CLEAVERS/GOOSE GRASS??? IS YOUR GARDEN FULL OF IT? DOES YOUR DOG LIKE TO EAT IT?
Sticky w**d can be good for dogs to eat and very common this time of year. It can however indicate that vitamins and minerals may be lacking from their diet.

Sticky w**d is a common herb called Galium Aparine,

It tends to flower from March, so it's usually this time of year that your customers' dogs will start grazing on Clivers on their walks. Dogs love the taste but it is also possible that they are giving themselves a bit of a spring clean.

This is because sticky w**d is said to have a cooling and cleansing action on the whole system. However to benefit from the nutrients, it needs to be well broken down or pulped, which dogs don't tend to do!

It's also important that owners avoid sticky w**d growing along busy roads where they may be contaminated with pollution.

Loki's skin has been flaring on and
off for the last two months with allergies, and then a
secondary skin / yeast infection. We've been back
and forth from the vets, trying different things
looking for mites, and even zipping him in a surgical
suit to stop him from licking his already sore skin.
