*Our services*

Here at Helpful Hooves we will be offering Individual equine assisted therapy sessions and individual and group learning sessions.

Alongside these we will be running different activities throughout the year to include Mental health walks with ponies, confidence building sessions and many more!

We're also be available to travel to schools, preschools, nursing homes etc for pony wellbeing visits 🙂

*Meet our newest therapy pony*

This is Poppy, she's a Shetland X and stands at around 12hh. Making her ideal for the little ones 🥰

Poppy has been with us for a few weeks now and has settled in great, she adores attention and has a very sweet nature.

Although out in the field she's the boss!

Equine assisted therapy and activities help individuals to develop skills such as communication, self-control, problem solving and accountability, as well as improving self-esteem, empathy and independence.

There are so many benefits from spending time with our therapy ponies and who doesn't just love looking at that beautiful little face 😍

Things are slowly but surely coming together 🙂

We had some new fencing put up last week to split one of the fields into two ready for the arrival of the new pony tomorrow!

And we now have our own transport to get out and about, hoping in the future we'll be able to visit places such schools, nursing homes, hospitals etc. 💛

The ponies have been out for a little walk this morning, with the help of my daughter ❤️ with the hedgerows in abundance at this time of year it's great to let the ponies have a good forage as well.

Mickey's gentle nature makes him ideal for the kids to walk, and it's wonderful watching my daughters confidence grow around them. She's very quick to say she can't do it or give up all together but she did so well today 💪

Meet Mickey

Mickey has just turned one, he's another baby.

This little guy has the most laid back personality and is such a gentle soul.

Everyone that meets him falls in love ❤️

He's amazing with children and is doing fantastic with his training.

He will be used as a therapy pony in the near future, and once he turns four he'll start his training to be a ridden therapy pony.

We expect him to make at least 14hh. So he'll be the perfect size for teenagers and smaller adults.

Mickey loves a groom and a good bum scratch.

Meet the ponies 🥰

This is Elvis

He's just turned one, so is still very much a baby.

Elvis is a larger than life character who follows me around like a puppy.

He's a very cheeky chappy and will do just about anything for food.

If you have pockets or zippers then beware he will be trying to open them 😂

Elvis is doing very well with his training and will be used as a therapy pony in the future.

Once he's turned four he will start his training to become a ridden therapy pony.

We expect him to make around 13hh. Being the perfect size for children and small adults.

He loves giving kisses and going out for walks 😊

Welcome!!

Later this year I'll be opening an equine assisted therapy and learning centre in Gwithian/Hayle, Cornwall.

We have lots to do to prepare over the coming months, so in the meantime please follow our journey and get to know me and the ponies and what we'll be able to offer you .

I look forward to getting to know you all as we embark on this wonderful new venture 💛
