We had Nala and Bonnie for an environmental session 🐾🐾🐾

Now I’ve worked with Bonnie before but never met Nala so was really good seeing what these beautiful girls where like together.

They are absolutely full of life when out and about and so we just had to break down how they were on a walk together and how we can negate their behaviour in certain environments. We slowed the walk right down and gave them time to actually take in their surroundings and remain neutral whilst getting from a to b.

Where they would normally walk to a destination and then be let off to run we took time in stopping and engaging the dogs and then allowing them to use their god given scenting talents.

We see marked improvement and since the session the girls have been on their first camping holiday with the family and has been most enjoyable for all which is a huge improvement and great to hear.

Michelle is a joy to work with as she shares great passion for her dogs and really does go above and beyond for them.

My assistants have been busy today helping me with some new equipment for sessions and they have been quality testing this afternoon. Rip really is growing in both size and character now and he will soon be joining me in some sessions and Marcy has been her usual quirky self also! 🐾🐾🐾

🌈Rainbow bridge Remembrance Day 🌈

We have all at some point in our lives gone through losing one or more of our beloved dogs.

Whether they are young or old their time with us is special and they always leave their lessons behind for us.

It is super tough losing a family dog and even dogs we know and work with.
There is a social stigma attached to it when dealing with the grief with losing our dogs the grief can catch you at any given time also.

There is no shame in feeling the grief and going through all the emotions but know you’re not alone in feeling it.

I recently lost my wise man Murphy and it hurt like nobody but yourself can understand but we go on and remember them and their lessons fondly.

To my Murphy and Millie I would not be the trainer I am today without you both and you truly taught me what a family dog should mean to myself. Here is to all our lost dogs awaiting us over the bridge until that day we shall see you again 🌈

We had the young malakai for his first environmental session with Emily.

Now working with Emily and malakai is just a pure delight the basic commands all put in place and malakai is executing them so well for his young age.

So we had him in an early environment to allow him to get used to environment pressure and allow him to absorb the world around him.

Malakai is going to be much more than your usual pet as he is going to be assisting Emily in day to day life aswell as conducting himself in a calm manner walking next to a wheelchair.

Very early days for this duo but they are more than up to the tasks which life throws at them. They are also teaching myself plenty along this journey.

Malakai is showing a fantastic temperament and strong urge to learn also.

We are going to revisit Emily and malakai once her new chair arrives as will be a very different set up and also with malakai maturing a touch more I’m looking forward to helping these guys on their journey some more.

Keep up the great work Emily and malakai you have some great foundations to work from and see you all soon🐾🐾🐾

We had the beautiful moon and her family in for her very first paddock session 🐾🐾🐾

Moon is a young rescue gsd mix and is currently experiencing some nerv whilst out and about on her walks and is generally quite difficult to handle.

So we got to work immediately with her being quite nervous of new people so we took a slightly slower approach of introducing her to myself and spending some time in motion until she settled more in presence.

Before too long she was being handled by myself very comfortably and then we could start building some confidence into her being on a lead.

Patience is key in these scenarios and moon gave some great feedback to us once we started to be clear with her.

Emma then took up the lead and you could see once they both were confident in each others company the promise started to show.

There is still plenty of confidence and character building to come but a very good foundation was laid in this session.

I’m looking forward to seeing both Emma and moon again soon and helping their journey gain more traction.

We had this happy little fellow artie for his last 1-1 session out and about on his environmental session🐾🐾🐾

Artie and Sammie have made superb progress together and really starting to see fantastic growth from both.

Sammie’s lead handling and understanding of artie’s body language has improved no end and she is now seeing clear results in their engagement and proofing around distraction.

Well done to you both! You have been an absolute privilege to train and work with and I will see you both around the village on walks 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Meet Frodo 🐾🐾🐾

So Frodo has had a couple of sessions now in the paddock.

He dsplays a bit of nerve when it comes to being out and about and when he goes he can be abit of a handful.

So we have been spending some time of lead handling of Frodo from our perspective and also helping this lovely lad build his confidence.

Within the two sessions I have seen Frodo’s family increase there lead handling skill at a nice pace but also gaining confidence in their partnership with Frodo and his in them.

It needs to be a two way street with dogs and these guys are really coming on nicely.

Frodo has very good understanding of his obedience commands when called upon and with patience paired with his obedience and timing this will really set him up for success.

Looking forward to pushing him on in his next session well done Kasia and Marcin and keep up the consistency 🐾🐾🐾🐾

We had Dave back in the paddock for his final 1-1 session 🐾🐾🐾

Dave has just gone from strength to strength and is just so keen to learn.

He is getting much more in sync with jacquie and woody and their work will continue with him in group sessions.

He overcome his fear of getting in the boot of the car and this is now a much smoother transition.

Woody and jacquie have been working so hard on their lead handling skills and you can really see the work paying off.

Dave has been an absolute pleasure to work with as have jacquie and woody and Eliza. The sky is the limit with this lad and he has buckets of character to boot!

So we had copper for his first environmental session 🐾🐾🐾

This lad is just full of fun and intrigue but can get a little too excited when he comes into contact with other dogs on walks.

So we changed up some handling and set a few rules for copper and there was noticed improvement almost immediately he was was put to the test.

We then spent some time adding some structure to coppers walk making sure we were giving copper plenty of time to explore and allow his beautiful character to grow.

We did this by changing up the leads we was using and this little guy had a ball.

Kat and chel were an absolute pleasure as always and I think this was the first walk they have enjoyed in a longtime with this fun little guy. 🐾🐾🐾

Meet clover 🐾🐾🐾

We had the beautiful clover come for her first session in the paddock with Natasha and her family.

Clover is a young adolescent lab mix and struggles in a number of things.

One of those things which we immediately got to work on was how she can be with people from outside of her family and her nerv was visible around myself from the get go.

So we got to work implementing movement and giving her time to accept me around her and very soon she was settled around me with a much more comfortable demeanour. We carried on with movement some more then we had a look at her behaviour whilst on a lead and it was evident she was being handled very differently by each family member which in turn added confusion into the mix which does not make life easy either end on the lead.

Once the handling became more consistent confidence grew dramatically either end of the lead and we started to see some progress with clover as well as evidence of confidence being gained. We then added an element of agility to aid in this confidence growth, At the end of the session clover seemed a different dog and I really cannot wait to see clover in the next session and keep up the good work with Natasha.

We had the return of ruby🐾🐾🐾

I was greeted by ruby’s big smile once and what was amazing was to see the improvement in communication between grace and ruby and grace’s confidence had grown considerably whilst handling ruby on a lead.

Seeing improvements like this is just the tonic we all need. We can all feel down when our dogs are behaving against the grain or a passer by feels the need to comment whilst we are putting the work in with our beloved dogs.
If these people could see the work you are putting in they wouldn’t be so quick to interject.

We have just scratched the surface of what grace and ruby are capable of achieving and their journey is well underway and I’m really looking forward to seeing them develop more together.

A big well done to you both keep up the good work proud of you both.🐾🐾🐾

Notice to clients group sessions will be starting at the end of September if you are interested please drop myself a message so I can get an idea of numbers and arrange groups accordingly and then an event will be set up. 😊🐾🐾🐾

These will be groups of 6 dogs only with handlers on leads.

Meet Buster 🐾🐾🐾🐾

So I had the pleasure of working with this big lad Buster for his first session on the paddock.

It was a family affair and I’m currently working with his brother Rocco also.

Now this lad just loves to do what he wants to do so we had to start implementing some structure from the ground up for him so he knew what was expected from whoever was handling him.

I spent some time handling Buster and talking through with his family what was expected of us to make sure he understands us at the end of the lead.

He soon became quite responsive to myself on the lead then we could get his family in the driving seat.

After a few reps we started to see a shift in behaviour on the lead for the better, Buster was then being challenged mentally and had to start using his intelligence to move forward as a cohesive unit whilst walking.

Buster done incredibly in such a short space of time and I cannot wait to dive in further next session with them all🐾🐾

Meet Ophelia and Anoushka 🐾🐾🐾🐾

I had the absolute privilege of meeting these two lovely little pug siblings with jay and Sonia.

Sonia got in touch with myself really to get these girls the very best start in life and too help set some boundaries when they play together.

I spent some time just getting to know these two lovely girls and really finding out their character traits and helping Sonia and jay become more valued by them both.

They done so well once they were asked to do something and I’m really looking forward to seeing them next time round to see how they are developing.

We welcomed both daisy and roscoe to the ElysiuM k9 uk family for their first paddock session.

Alex got in touch to help with a few things with these little guys and how to set them up best for the future.

Daisy and roscoe was an absolute pleasure to work with and helping Alex implement some early structure in their lives will definitely help these guys develop well and help them build their characters and build confidence in areas they find a little too much.

Really looking forward to seeing these guys soon to see how they are progressing and growing through growing their pack focus on walks and trust building with plenty of play but most of all patience while they grow. 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Meet Apollo 🐾🐾🐾

We had the lovely Apollo come for his first session in the paddock.

Jo got in touch with me as Apollo gets a little excited when he sees other dogs whilst he is on lead and becomes quite challenging to handle.

So we had a good look how Apollo ticks in general and he is a fun loving lad so then we spent some time with his lead work.

It quickly became apparent that this guy likes to call the shots on the lead and get his way as much as he can.

We switched a few things up equipment being used and the way we handled and lead him.

A few reps in and he was walking much better with myself with clear directions and when he done well he was clearly understanding praise.

We then touched on his recall and used a very simple game between his family to encourage a sharper recall base.

Some work to go with Apollo but himself and Jo done really well in this short space of time and I really look forward to seeing them grow even more together.

We had the absolute pleasure of this young man rocco for his first session in the paddock 🐾🐾🐾

It was really great to meet Reece and family as they were at there wits end with being able to walk rocco.

So we got to work straight away with rocco and he has such a lovely character and willingness to work with me.

After changing up some handling making it clearer to Rocco where to be and what to do he took to it really well.

We needed Rocco to adapt the right mindset whilst on the lead and he smashed it after a few reps.

We then spent some time with Reece and family making sure they understood the change in handling and mindset and soon enough they where beginning to enjoy having him at the end of the lead and once we had them working together that’s when the progress became really apparent.

Really looking forward to diving into next session with these guys and unleashing roccos potential further.

The return of Ozzy 🐾🐾🐾🐾

We had Ozzy come for a session in the paddock and Lauren and soren have been doing a great job with this young lad.

I first met Ozzy as a young puppy and now he is hitting adolescence we just needed to refine his handling a bit as he is going through some changes and we just need to keep him neutral in certain areas.

Even though Lauren and soren had just been on holiday I took a brief moment to get him tapped back into to them then they were flying again.

Ozzy has buckets of potential to be a great dog and Lauren and soren are really setting him up for success.

Every day is lesson and these guys are doing so well looking forward to seeing you all soon 🐾🐾

Meet copper 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

So I have now spent a couple of sessions with hazel and copper one in the paddock and an environmental session just to see how copper ticks when out and about.

Copper is a very good dog he has fantastic obedience it is just this lovely guy struggles with environmental pressure and he generally values his own space and is none to pleased when uninvited dogs encroach on him which is understandable.

So I handled him around the village and once we came across his triggers his body language let me know and then we could lead copper through these increasing his threshold and recovery time.

We came across many situations in which copper would usually let the world know he wasn’t happy and he did absolutely great. He just needed some guidance to help him through.

This was a great start to helping copper get some confidence back when out and about.

We had benny back in the paddock🐾🐾

So we had benny and liv back in the paddock and it was a little crossover at the beginning of the session with cat and milo.

This was a big deal for both liv and cat and they handled it really well.

We then spent some time on how easily benny gets distracted with other family members and a busier environment.

He is progressing nicely and liv’s handling is coming on leaps and bounds too still some work to go but they have got this with good clean consistency and leadership.

We had the big guy Milo back in the paddock 🐾🐾🐾

We took Milo back to the paddock with cat just to work a little bit more on her handling of him and to put to test his handling around his triggers which in his case is other dogs.

I couldn’t be prouder of how this lad is coming on.
Cat’s handling is very nearly there with him and watching their confidence grow together is amazing.

We had a chance with a couple of dogs passing to expose Milo and he done superb.
Milo’s attention to whoever is handling him has improved tenfold and we are so close to him being that lovely confident dog he once was before he was attacked.

We also got a little opportunity with spending a short time around liv and benny before their session to which these boys done great still some work to do but we have momentum on our side and growth is apparent.
