Happy 5th Birthday to this beautiful boy!

This is Bandit, him and Waffles came from the same home.

It was a very strange and sad lunchtime field run without them together but I made sure Bandit had a great birthday with his mates.

We had the absolutely heartbreaking news that Waffles suddenly passed away today.

Waffs has been with me on my walks for around 7 years. There has never been a dull moment with him, he was such a cheeky chappy, he always got on so well with all the other dogs too.

I can always remember when Matt first met him, he thought he had a bit of grass coming out of his bottom, as he pulled, it was Keith’s sock! 🙈🤣.

Once he bolted 2 fields, as I ran and ran I finally sat on a bridge to get my breath and he literally walked up to me, tilted his head to one side as to say what on earth are you doing!?! 🤣🙈

Mud!! Honestly this boy could find mud anywhere!!

All I know is, I’ve had fun and loved being with Waffs, he’s made me laugh and made me swear but by god I will miss him on our walks 😢

All my love to Annette, Keith, Bandit and family, I know how hard this will of hit you and just to let you know you are very much in my thoughts at this sad time. 🤗

I am abit late in posting my photos from Sunday’s puppy group!

We covered recall, introducing the whistle and what you can do to improve recall and things that can go wrong!

We also covered sit and stay, loose lead walking and puppy behaviours like jumping up!

Dog walking clients…. I have become aware there is a very nasty tummy bug going around dogs at the moment.
Please let me know if your dog is showing any symptoms. I cannot walk them in a group or solo until they are fit and well!

Charlie came for a puppy 1-2-1 this afternoon.

Charlie missed the first session of our puppy training so they came for a 1-2-1 to go through everything we did on Sunday.

Such a gorgeous responsive pup! 👌🥰

Our new puppy foundation group started this morning that I run for Matt Ager Pet & Gundog Training.

A lovely bunch of owners and pups!! Lots of chatting, started with lead work, what can happen if you let your dogs pull to say hello to other dogs and humans! We also covered eye contact.

Homework set and I am looking forward to seeing what progress they have all made next Sunday.

Purple poppies were difficult to get hold of and the ones I ordered are bloody awful!! Happy with the red poppies though!! 🙌

Anyway, I’ve found something else so hopefully they will be here in a few days and I can get it finished!! 👌

Looking for ideas!!!

Once Halloween has gone I need some ideas to decorate the photo frame for November. I have decided against Fireworks as it isn’t very popular amongst dog owners.

A fantastic last session in the puppy foundation course that I run for Matt Ager Pet & Gundog Training.

This group have certainly worked hard and made brilliant progress. We missed Orla who is now away on holiday.

They are all continuing with their training and start Matt’s obedience group in 3 weeks times.

Well done everyone 🙌⭐️

My next group is fully booked. If you are interested in my new dates for 2024, they will be out shortly.

A big day for puppy Gus! He had his first visit to
the field with all the other dogs in his family!

He absolutely loved having a little run about. I practiced abit of recall with him.

Not too much running about for this little chap yet so we had lovely cuddles as I carried him around the field listening to the noises and watching what was going on around him.

Week 4 of our puppy foundation training yesterday.

Today was recall with distractions and everyone did brilliantly. Distraction of other dogs, noise and a couple of horses going by on the road outside. Oh and a few airplanes doing fancy moves in the sky! ✈️🛫🛩️🤣Lovely to see people using their whistles too.

We always go over the basics, loose lead walking, sit, stay, eye contact. Chatted about things that have cropped up during the week and gave ideas to help.

Today was Little Ted’s 5th birthday!! 🥳🎉
Such a happy loving little fella! 🥰

He reminds me of a young single bloke in a pub! Loves the girls alittle but too much 🍆and if there’s a squabble he’s there with his sleeves rolled up 🤣

He stands on his back legs shouting ‘get off my land!’ at anyone that comes remotely closes to the perimeter fence 🤣.

Week 3 of our puppy foundation course.

Today we covered loose lead walking as we do every week, release command and the importance of it, sits and stays, recall and introducing the whistle. We finished with teaching your pup to lay down.

Everyone is making fantastic progress!

Tuesday lunchtime crew with Matt today. It was also Eddie the West highland white terrier’s 3rd birthday! Happy birthday Eddie. 🥳

Waffles and Bandit also returned to the lunch time crew after a few weeks away and from all accounts were very happy to be back!! 👏

A great first class. What a lovely group of pups and owners. It was good to see people that have trained with us before come back with their new additions!

We talked about over socialising your dog and getting the balance right, meeting and greeting humans and other dogs.

We also covered types of leads, collars and harnesses. We also talked about bitey little puppies!!

We mainly worked on loose lead walking, with some training/play exercises to do in their gardens to help with this.
