We got a proper scottish summers day for this year's summer minis 😂🫣
To be fair, the light was really nice and even, which is much better for photos than harsh sun and every dog seemed to have a whale of a time!
As did I, mini shoots always feel very fast and furious to me, you get used to one dog, wham, here comes a completely different one! And I love it!
Nothing quite like a change of pace that comes with this much cuteness 😍
All these guys did so well, just look at this sneak peek, I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried!

I really hope everyone enjoyed themselves and that you like your sneak peeks!

When I was looking for a rain photo at the Field, I came across a series of Jack and Kalli, we had gone and it was chucking it down. Just chucking. Dreich. Drookit!
The dogs were soak, we were soaked, the car was soaked when we got home after but we had such fabulous fun, it really didn't matter.
It's one of my very favorite family memories, as my hubby was there too.
So, before I head to the field for todays s(oggy)ummer minis I wanted to show you a never before seen Kalli photo, she's even cracking a wee smile, look!

Moral of that story? Don't dismiss the rainy days - go play in them!

So...who are you gonna support this evening? Scotland or Germany? As it happens, I only have these photos that include a football and its rainbow coloured of course. Kinda appt though because I can't decide which homeland to support 😂 But I am getting some Currywurst pies from the guys over at and I plan to get some Warsteiner (a beer brewed where i'm from) if they have it in tesco just now 😋 Go Homeland! 🇩🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Tango, who I photographed a few years ago, brought his friends Flo and Ben along for a wee photoshoot this evening 😍
As it happens, I have photographed Ben and Flo before as well, because they belong to my friends 😊
We spend some time around the fields, Ben had the zoomies on and was running rings around us whilst Tango and Flo pinged between the 4 of us, raiding pockets 😅
It was a fun wee hour and we had all kinds of weather, but thankfully the heavier rain waited until we were done 😀

Oh, was I in for a treat today!
Meet wee Aajay, who is just about the cutest, most sprockery little Sprocker ever!
He is, in true spaniel form, a very busy boy, then add puppyhood and you can imagine he was just a blur between these monent of stillness. But he's also a very, very good boy and I already can't wait to see him again in autumn!
Because his Mum went for the puppy package, I get to see this wee cutie grow up!
And make memories with and for this family, which is why I do what I do. Its very special to me 😊

Let's play a game! 😂
OK so, I was looking for a photo of Jack smiling and came across this from 2016! Jack being 'up front and give me that ball centre', whilst Kalli was already getting a head start by standing further back.
Anyway! So I gave it a new do, because I have learned a lot since then and once I was done...I noticed something. Now this is not added or taken away, the image looks as it was, i just adjusted the colours, etc, and removed their collars. What i noticed got nothing to do with that though.
I can't unsee it and it's creeping me out 😂

Last nights sunset was quite pretty!
I meant to take Jack a bit further afield but I had a tooth pulled this week and my face was just aching by the time we got to evening, so we went to one of our regular haunts that is newish. They took a bunch of trees down in one part and created a new walk so to speak.
It was really lovely - until the midgies descended upon us and we made a run for it 😂

There is a face I miss 🖤
Her Birthday, being the same as Jacks, doesn't really get to me. Neither does the day I had to let her go.
But when her Gotcha Day (end of June) is on the horizon, she's on my mind A LOT.
I suppose that shouldn't have come as a surprise since that fateful day changed my life, and me, in such a big way.
This isn't a sad post, or at least its not meant to be! Of course I miss her, how could I not! And I griefed. Hard. But for the first time in my life, I thought I had healthy reactions and emotions and I did it 'my way'.
Jack has taught me a lot, but I think Kalli came along to teach me more, not just about dogs, but about myself. And she did so beautifully.
So here is to the dogs that taught us! (so all of them, as I think you learn something from each one 😊)

Last night I got to meet what I can only describe as Georgia's Zoo 😊😂
2 horses, 4 dogs and a person, that was quite something!
And more fun than i could put into words, really.
We took the horses first, because the last time i saw Georgia, the brown horse couldn't really be ridden as she had a sore mouth. Since then, she added the Highland pony and got 3 more dogs I think, or 2?
Anyway! We had a great time in the Bluebells and the woods as well as down by the river. I was a wee bit jealous of the dogs getting to swim, it was still quite warm even past 7pm!
But it's just as much fun watching so I am not complaining!

I did say I would share some Germany photos and I figured I start with our last outing with my Mum on Friday evening. The Möhnesee (a artificial lake/ water reservoir) is somewhere I spend a fair bit of time as a child and my Mum still visits often, so naturally, it's somewhere we HAD to go.
And we got a wonderful evening for it too! The Mama duck was chatting to my husband and there is even a rare photo of myself, with my mother 😃

It was a Golden evening yesterday, golden dog, Golden vegetation, Golden light!
Meet Alfie, he and his Dad got a Voucher for Christmas 😀
We had a lovely hour walking around part of Spittal Wood which is looking rather lovely just now, just right for photos.
Alfie posed like a pro and even showed off his gundog training! He left me impressed anyway 😉

Hello hello!
We are back! I had a wonderful week at home but it really was quite emotional so when I got back, I needed a couple days to get back to normal.

I will share some photos at some point if you like?
It was good to come home and get weather much like most of the days we had there, in the low 20s, with sunshine. Although it does feel very different here, it's been early/late walks for Jack because he isn't used to it either!

Tonight I took the camera before I missed the Bluebells again, they are so very gorgeous right now. And it's a perfect picture to say Hi! I'm back, with. At least I think so!

And how have you all been?

Tomorrow is a red letter day.
No, my Mum is not coming to visit this time 😉 Instead, my husband and I are off to Germany! Yes, I am going home!

Equal parts excited and nervous, in the nearly 12 years I've had my boy, I have never left him over night. Well, once, because my hubby put his foot down when we got married 😂
Who's the one with separation anxiety now 😂

But it's been 17 years since I last set foot on home soil, it's long overdue! And it be good to see the rest of the family as well as showing Jon where I grew up.
Jack will stay at home with our in laws and their dogs, which he likes, so he will have a great holiday himself, I am sure! And no doubt there be a lot of treats in my bag for the return home, the home here I mean. I know, I confuse myself, I don't know when Home became 2 places...

So this is me, signing off until after the 11th, although I will probably share some stuff in stories, but anything work I promised myself will be ignored until after we are back!

Why Hello! Look what I got up to last evening! Off I went to Dornoch beach to meet Tikka and Rum plus their humans Judith and Blair AND their newish little person!
They received a Christmas Voucher year before last but couldnt redeem it until now, due to arrival of said little person 😍

It was windy so the waves were amazing but it wasn't really cold so we managed a good hour of fun!

Oh and fun it was!
Rum is my first clumber spaniel, I don't think I've met one before. No, not much different than any other spaniel I know, busy, fun and very cute!
Tikka is a yellow lab and she has dwarfism. It doesn't affect anything but her height so I just deem her adorable 😊 because that's just what she is, sweet as sugar, too!
And look, I even got a 'cloud bow' and the sun AND a family in one photo, see the silhouette 🤩

Last week I took my camera to work one sunny day and photographed Sandy, who hasn't graced my lens in a while! He is a very photogenic boy, from perfect action to goofy to cute, the lad has it all!
