🌟 Pops 🌟

You may be wondering why Pops looks a bit groggy 🥴

His parents brought him in today after he was unable to urinate! After examining Pops, our Clinical Director Tunde advised sedation to assess why Pops couldn’t pass any urine! 😿

It was thought Pops had a blocked bladder (usually due to a formation of urinary crystals that have clustered together and blocked the urethra). A procedure we have seen in a fair few cats over the years!

What we weren’t expecting to find was TWO grass seeds stuck in Pops’ urethra!! This poor fluffy boy must have been very uncomfortable! Tunde checked that Pops could empty his bladder freely after the removal of the grass seeds, the urine was tested to check for any bacteria or crystals and Pops’ woke up, feeling much much better 🥰

🌟 Lola 🌟

This little beauty is Lola! She is a nearly 6 month old German Shepherd pup who got into a bit of a pickle yesterday!

Lola was stung on her tongue by a wasp. Her worried owner brought her to be seen as Lola was finding it painful to open her mouth 😢

After examining Lola, our vet Natasha thought the stinger was still embedded in Lola’s tongue - Hence her pain! We sedated Lola and removed the stinger and Lola woke up and enjoyed some yummy food which she ate no problem!

We put the stinger under the microscope and we got this awesome image 🤩

Wishing you a speedy recovery Lola, it was a pleasure to have lots of cuddles 💖 x

We have had a tabby female cat brought into us today having been found sadly deceased just outside of Wisbech.

No collar or microchip.

An adult cat with what looks to be some sort of skin condition/thinning of fur.
