AVAILABILITY…

We are FULLY BOOKED for Christmas; 20th - 28th of December 2024 but have availability for the ALL of 2025.

If you wish to book a holiday while we are closed, please do so and call Cathy with your dates when she returns on the 25th.

WE ARE CLOSED FOR OUR ANNUAL DEEP CLEAN & BREAK.

Normal business will resume on Monday 25th November.

Cathy will be back in the office on the 25th, no messages or texts will be replied to until then.

Please bear with us - and the upside-down-ness (cool word) that has descended upon The Dog Lodge this week… it will look better in a couple days (promise)!!

With one week to go until our annual close down / deep clean… the small block is in the process of being disinfected from top to bottom, steam cleaned and painted!!

We always prep the small block before the big shut down… that way it can be used as a drying room and / or emergency kennelling should you need us!!

The Daily Routine at The Dog Lodge

⭐️5am - 7am

All guests will have been out for a quick off lead run and loo break in our paddocks by 7am.

This will happen either individually or paired / grouped depending on the individuals / owners preference.

⭐️Breakfast is served by 7.30am

As we feed we also wash out all kennels of any loose hair / spilt food, beds are made / changed and the walk ways are disinfected, scrubbed and washed down, the gutters are cleaned of any food / hair.

⭐️Open to customers between 7.30am & 10am.

Drop off / collection happens between the hours of 7.30 & 10am so all guests wait for their main exercise once customers have stopped coming and going.
While waiting, they will pop back into the paddocks for another p*e break.

⭐️10am Close To Customers - Exercise Time

The doors are locked and main exercise happens between 10am & 1pm.

Main exercise is catered to the individual depending on their age, health & willingness.

Puppies & golden oldies have more short exercise sessions, whereas a young, fit working guest will have lots.

We also find some guests come in and wish to enjoy their holiday, like ourselves. They are happy with a potter in the paddock & back to their heated bed.

Main exercise can be another off lead free run in the paddocks or walks around our fully enclosed 60 acre farm and woodlands.

Only 100% reliable guests will be let off the lead when in the big fields… perfect recall is a must when you have masses of room to run free.

Woodland walks always happen on the lead. We have an abundance of wildlife in the woods so even the most amazing recall can sometimes go out the window!!

⭐️Quiet Time

Once morning exercise is finished, we close for quiet time.

All the guests are comfortable & content and happy to have a midday snooze while we get some lunch!!

⭐️3.30 / 4pm - Start Again

Quick loo break, supper & exercise.

Afternoon exercise depends on daylight hours.

In the winter months, all offsite exercise stops after 4pm and we stay in our spot lit paddocks.

⭐️5pm - 7pm

We open the doors for drop off / collection between the hours of 5 & 7pm.

⭐️Close Down

We close down for the night between 7.30 & 8pm depending on how many guests we have staying and how much sunlight we have for exercising offsite.

⭐️Late Night P*e Break

Should we have an old / young guest, Cathy will put them out for a quick p*e at 10.30 / 11pm.
