๐ฆท๐พ #DidYouKnow that regular dental check-ups are as crucial for your pet's overall health as they are for yours?
Just like us, pets can develop dental issues like plaque buildup, tartar accumulation, and gum disease. By scheduling regular dental check-ups, you're taking proactive steps to ensure your furry friend's mouth stays healthy and pain-free.
During these check-ups, our veterinary team can assess your pet's teeth and gums, identify any signs of dental problems, and recommend appropriate treatments or preventive measures. Remember, a healthy mouth equals a happier pet!
Don't wait until there's a problem โ book your pet's dental check-up today!

Caesar, a lovely German Shepherd, recently underwent laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery at our Lanark hospital. In his case, both testicles had not descended from the abdomen into the scrotum. Left untreated, abdominal testicles can develop cancer which can be fatal.
Traditional surgery typically requires a sizeable incision to locate the undescended testicle. Laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery is the preferred method. This minimally invasive approach involves making small incisions to place a telescopic camera into the abdomen to locate the testicle and a second small incision to remove the testicle. This results in a lower risk of abdominal hernias, reduced post-surgical discomfort, and a quicker recovery.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our Lanark hospital on 01555 660000.

Fireworks can be very scary for our pets. Itโs sensible to keep cats and dogs inside after dark and close windows and curtains. Where possible, keep the lights on and create some background noise by playing music or having the television on. Pets will often benefit from having a safe place to hide and stressed pets should not be left home alone. Speak to us if you are worried about managing your petโs firework stress ๐

If you are having family round this Christmas, ensure they know how to interact with your pet(s) and that your pet(s) have somewhere pets have somewhere quiet to go if they need time alone. Also, having pets
microchipped brings peace of mind that they can be traced back to you if they are accidentally let out or escape.
