Beau and Mabel were a perfect play match and had a blast at our session this morning.

This is Mabel's first time on a woodland walk and her first time being off lead. Her owner's are playing a game to keep her focus on them.
Mabel did amazing today, her owner's should be very proud.

Charlie has separation anxiety, in particular he gets quite distressed when he's in his crate. By creating positive experiences, after just 1 week Charlie is happy to go in his crate with the door open. This weekend we moved on to the next stage, locking the door. As you can see in this short video, Charlie looks calm and is happy eating treats while the door is locked. Over the coming weeks we'll be working on building up the time Charlie spends in the crate.

This is the little treasure that is Beau. Over the past few weeks we've been working on Beau's recall and lead walking. Due to the hard work and dedication from her owner her recall is already very good if there are no distractions around. We've been working on keeping her focused on her owner when dogs, people etc are present. She's an intelligent puppy and is learning quickly but perfection takes time. Keeping your dog focused on you when distractions are present can be challenging. With time and patience everything is achievable.

Millie is a lovely well behaved girl and has always had good recall. As she's matured her recall has slipped a bit due to exciting distractions like squirrels.
We're going back to basics with her training, teaching her that it benefits her most to focus on and stay close to her owner's.
Here is Millie playing some training games at home that will reinforce focus. Once she's learnt how fun these games are at home, they can be played on a walk so it's not just the squirrels the are bringing the fun and excitement to a walk.

Training can be a tiring business!
Zuko is a 4 month old Pomeranian and he's just started a 4 week one to one training programme. We'll be working on the basics like sit, down and stay etc.
Playing different training games to teach Zuko focus and proximity to his owner, we'll also throw in a couple of tricks for fun.

Pablo is 6 month old, his owners have been working hard on his focus since our first training session a few weeks ago. He has made great progress at home so today was the day to test it out with outdoor distractions. Today was his first time off lead and he totally smashed it. He was really focused on his owners and using training games made learning good fun for him. I'm sure Pablo will keep improving with each off lead experience.

Billy and his owners are working hard on his training and Billy is loving every minute of it.
Teaching your dog new tricks is not only fun for your dog, it also strengthens the bond between you both and has the added benefit of increasing focus.

Another great socialisation walk with Lennie, Lena, Pippa, Astrid and Penny. In this clip Penny was happy showing off how amazing she's doing at focus training. Everyone else was busy enjoying some rough and tumble.
I'm sure everyone was ready for a nap when they got home.

Just a short clip of Lennie, Lena and Pippa having fun on our puppy socialisation walk earlier today. We made a start on focus training which can turn a good pup into a great dog. Everyone made progress, including Penny the spaniel, who was a bit camera shy.
