Leek Auctions is a vibrant livestock market in the heart of Staffordshire. We also host many single day dairy dispersal sales, predominantly on Fridays.

Our weekly market is held every Tuesday where all sections are thriving in particular the dairies, which offers the largest weekly choice of dairy cattle in the country. In addition to the weekly market, we hold monthly pedigree dairy sales, together with monthly store cattle sales and store sheep sales during the Autumn and Winter months. The market also has a fortnightly poultry sale which is e

very other Saturday. Easily accessible from all the major road links, live stock is drawn from far and wide. For a friendly and professional service from people who are willing to go the extra mile, come and try Leek Auctions.

A tremendous show of pigs with 225 head sold, despite the stormy conditions!! Best pigs a pleasure to sell with those plain and coloured pigs much harder to place.

Pietrain gilts from Ben Vernon to £270 twice

A mixed show or stores with best sorts a pleasure to sell those plain and coloures pigs more difficult to place.

Top price from Wendy Stamper, Preston selling 58kg pigs to £100 with others to £72, £51 & £50. PJ Barker sold to £100 for 50kg pietrains, who had others to £95. Rosie Watson to £48. RA Hughes sold to £95, £85, £80x2, J Knaggs sold to £78. Two nice pens of 48kg boars from G Tomlinson, Abbots Bromley sold to £90 and £82.

Weaners (102)
A mixed show of weaners again better weaners easy to sell and wanted, a lot of plain sorts on offer more difficult to place. Top price from A Worth selling to £62. G+M Pawson to £52 for 20kg pietrains. Abbotsholme school to £45 and £40. 9kg OSB sold to £40 for John Lockett. C Wardle to £38 and £34.

🎄🐑 Champion Lambs 🐑🎄 Kindly judged by Danny Hill, the champion pen of lambs was awarded to Ron Tomkinson of Butterton for an exceptional pair of Beltex lambs at 47.5kg. These went on the sell for £13/kg (£615.50/head) to Lee Machin of Manifold Valley Meats

🎄🐮 Champion Beast 2024 🐮🎄 Kindly judged by Robert Bowring of Mansfield, the Champion beast was won by Ian Brown & family of Werrington. This went on to sell for 620p/kg (£3937) which was purchased by the judge.

🎄🐷 Champion Pair of Pigs🐷 🎄 Kindly judged by Peter Allen of Uttoxeter and the Champion was awarded to regular vendor David Goldstraw of Meerbrook which went on to sell for 530p/kg (£495.55/head) to Lee Machin of Manifold Valley Meats.
