Sas (Saslong) a 16.3/17.0hh 13 year old TB ex-racer. 🐴

Due to owners health issues we are looking for a full time loaner, long term.

We would prefer Sas to stay on current yard in Lowton, Warrington. Where there is a floodlit school, 24/7 summer turnout and off road hacking available.

Needs to be experienced as our boy is NOT a novice ride. Preferably 18+ and has experience with ex racehorses.

Sas has slowly been brought back into work by myself over the summer months after a number of years out of work, this is due the owners ill health. I have been working with Sas for a period of time now and he has proven to be very willing and smart.

When in work Sas is fantastic on the ground. However, he can prove to be quite sharp at times when ridden so will need a rider who can be quiet and reassuring when needed, but also confident enough to be firm when he is stubborn. Sas will hack nicely in a group but can be nervous so won’t always lead.

Sas has no vices with impeccable manners in the stable. He has a wonderful personality and always makes people around laugh. He is excellent with children around him and loves the attention. He's extremely loving with a gentle and sensitive soul therefore we are looking for someone who can offer Sas both their love and experience of his breed. References will be required to ensure a good match. Happy to discuss more over the phone/inbox. More pictures and videos available.

Things have been very quiet on here lately!

As some of my regulars know I’m a 3rd year Geography student! The last couple of months have been crazy trying to finish my dissertation but today I finally submitted it!

10 stables minimum 6 acres of grazing- preferably more.

Well maintained Arena a must, wash box/solarium/walker would be desired but not essential providing there is sufficient space to adapt to meet the needs. Ample space for Haylage/Shavings storage and lorry parking.

The yard must be a usable yard, something that must be or with work will be a well presentable property.

Dogs must be welcome & HGV access a must.

Accommodation or space for accomdation necessary. Must be nice living environment for young family, static caravan invited but well maintained only.

For long term rental only with contracts.

Tidy, good paying tenant awaits with references available.

A much needed break away with a trip up to Scotland this weekend.

I’m filling the lengthy train journey home with a bit of planning for next year.

I never would’ve thought that I would be at the place I’m at now, having to buy a diary for next year already so I can get clients booked in! I’m so grateful to the people around me, family, friends and my amazing liveries, that I get to do what I love everyday!

This is Manny, he has been out of full ridden work for over a year, with just having the odd hack. By taking it back to basics with him he’s slowly started showing off his gorgeous paces and is feeling a lot more confident in the school - I look forward to getting to know him a bit more over the winter 🐴

The lovely Buffy today. Buffy has a tendency to nap when hacking alone, wanting to turn and go home or not moving forward. With a lot of positive reinforcement and time we managed a good hour off the yard without any problems. She’s a lovely little pony and a real credit to her owners 🐴

It’s been such a strange couple of weeks off work, but coming back to this makes me so happy!
