Cat Welfare Luton. They work tirelessly to help the cats that few people help. Very sick and injured and often stray or feral. Very often not neutered. They have enormous vet bills!

I am overwhelmed by all the wonderful messages following my announcement that my rescue has to close. Thank you so much for all your kind wishes. I can tell you that it was the hardest decision I have ever had to make.

Unfortunately I have been poorly and I’m now in hospital so any enquiries won’t get a response. There are no animals waiting for homes at present.

Dotty has now found a lovely home.

This is Dotty. She is around 15-18 months old and has been looking for home for a while now. She is loving and playful but every time somebody decides to adopt her they are taken ill or have a bereavement or some other disaster.
She is neutered and microchipped so ready to go. She cannot live with dogs but given time I think she could live with another friendly cat. She lives alongside my cats with no problems now.

EBONY. This lovely lady has found a home.

Aged 4 years.

Ebony has been well looked after by her family so she is finding life hard in rescue. Her family are returning to Hungary and can’t take her.
She is spayed and microchipped but not up to date with her vaccination. She is a lovely calm and loving lap cat.

I have just taken in 2 cats from a deceased owner. One of them is 15 years old and her vets bill is going to be over £500 once she has had blood tests and an operation for an overactive thyroid. if you are able to mel a contribution towards this, it would be greatly appreciated and you can do so by following the link to my Just Giving page.

McCoy aged 18 months.

McCoy unfortunately hasn’t settled in a multi cat home. He loves curling up next to you for a nap and although he does play he is a bit of a secret old man and loves to sleep. He isn’t allowed out at the moment as he does not get on with a neighbours cat but does like to sunbathe in the garden in the sunshine.
McCoy can be homed on his own or with his sister but with no other animals.
He can’t live with small children as he can nip to get attention or when playing. Older children should be fine.

These two cats are still in their own home where they are happiest while we’re trying to find them a home or homes.

Pixie. Aged 9-12 months. Pixie has found a lovely home.

Pixie has had a confusing few weeks. She was owned by a couple in Maidstone with several other cats who like many people were finding times hard. They shared their cats out to members of their family. Poor Pixie was given to Granny who quickly showed that she was allergic. She has settled amazingly quickly and been neutered, microchipped and had her first vaccination. Also been treated for fleas and worms.
Pixie is used to living with children and other cats.

Going through my paperwork, I have counted that I have rehomed 61 cats and kittens this year in lovely homes and they have all settled well. I have only been able to do this because I have had so much support from friends and local people so well done all of you and a very big thank you for supporting this venture financially and with food.
The cats and kittens are still coming in and if anybody would like to donate some luxury food for them to enjoy at Christmas I would be very grateful.

LARRY. This wonderful cat has got a lovely family home. Soooo pleased.

I can’t believe that nobody has fallen in love with Larry. He is such a sweet loving boy.
Neutered and chipped. Just needs his vaccinations. Ignores other cats and is so affectionate he wants company asap.

Suzy and her kittens are almost ready to find homes.

The kittens can be homed in pairs and as there are five it would be lovely if one could go with his mum. Suzy is a very friendly cat and will be spayed and microchipped before she moves. There are 2 boys and 3 girls. They will health checked and microchipped by the vet on Thursday.
If you could offer them a home please message me.
There needs to someone at home at least part of the day and you mustn’t live on a busy road.

Timmy, Tommy and Tammy

These are the three kittens dumped a few weeks ago. They have been a struggle to rear but are now almost ready to move on to their new homes. They will be health checked and microchipped at the end of the week and hopefully everyone will be queueing up for them. It would be wonderful if they could go as a th*****me. If not I have another kitten to pair up with one if someone can take 2. I will not home them on their own.

Rosie and Primrose need a home together.

These sisters are the two biggest girls form the 4 orphans I took from the vet. They have grown big and strong and will have their health check and be microchipped on Tuesday. They have been treated for worms and fleas.
They live in a busy household so are used to all noises of hoover, washing machine etc. They also live with dogs.
Could you give them a loving forever home?

Thank you to all the people who are still donating cat and kitten food and a big thank you to all still donating to my justgiving appeal. The money is still so needed for expensive food and cleaning materials plus litter AND the never ending vets bills.
We keep homing successfully but the cats keep coming in!

The four little orphans.

They must have known it was black cat appreciation day yesterday. The vets asked us to take these 4 black kittens as their mum had died They are about 5 weeks old.That makes 18 cats and kittens that are black or black and white! Two went to their new home yesterday.
She must have been a good mum because they are healthy and eating mushy food well.
A big thank you to everyone who has donated kitten and cat food.
There are 4 but they kept moving so you only see 3.

Suzy

The beautiful cat that arrived on Sunday heavily pregnant presented me with five beautiful kittens on Tuesday. MORE black and white kittens. I now have 19 black or black and white kittens. A couple are white and black for a change!
She is a very attentive and calm mum so I am sure they will thrive.

Timmy Tommy and Tammy.

These three little kittens arrived 2 days ago. Found by a dog walker dumped on the edge of a large estate in a local town. They are no more than 4-5 weeks old crawling with fleas and can’t feed themselves. They were dehydrated but are now thriving with mushy food and formula by syringe.
Please don’t dump kittens. These would have died a horrible death if the dog hadn’t found them. The vets will put you in touch with rescues who hopefully can help and get mum spayed. This poor mum will have more kittens for sure!
If anyone feels they could donate kitten food I would be grateful.
Message me and I can collect.

They are between 3 months and 5 months.

ERNIE. Ernie has gone to his new home and is very settled and happy.

This boy needs to move to his forever home asap. He is approximately 5 months old fairly boisterous so might be too much for small children. He is also very loving and loves a cuddle which is surprising because he possibly had a bad start in life. He was dumped by a man outside a block of flats on a very busy road. Luckily a young couple saw it happen and picked him up.
He has been neutered and microchipped. He has settled in so quickly and doesn’t worry about the dogs or cats in the house.
