Dave came here on holiday for a week and ended up staying 6! And better still he certainly hasn’t over stayed his welcome. He’s worked his socks off, he finds concentrating very hard like most men….. Dave is tired….Dave would really like to go home now for a rest….. you may see us out competing too soon 🥰
Story time
A few months ago a lovely client of mine ‘Ruth’ asked me to go horse shopping with her to find an easy straight forward, loving, kind horse to go mainly hacking on and the odd lesson on the flat. So off we went all over the country, looking at all kinds of horses, most of which were too this, too that, not right in some shape or form. So as time went on Ruth would send me video and advert after video and advert, most of which I’d lose track of who was what but would flick through and just send a ‘no’ ‘it’s lame’ ‘too young’ ‘too hot’ ‘too talented’ or a ‘yes we can go see’ etc etc and this went on over weeks and weeks. We did see a few that seemed to fit what ‘we’ wanted and needed to then end up sadly failing vettings mainly on back X-rays and kissing spine…..more common than we all would like to believe, anyway Ruth sends me her weeks worth of adverts and videos to which I scrolled and said which ones we could go and see, so off we go in the car down to West Sussex to see ‘a bay mare’ we rock up chatting away to the owners and thinking they looked vaguely familiar…..so we try the horse who seemed all be it a bit too talented for what we wanted but was assured she would be perfect, through the conversation and trial it becomes apparent that not only was the horse probably going to do the job perfectly but also turns out WE WERE STOOD ON OLYMPIC RIDERS KRISTINA COOKS YARD AND TRYING HER HORSE!!!!! 🤦♀️🤣🤣🤣
So we toddled off rather bemused and laughed all the way home, we ended up buying the mare and asked if ‘Tina’ (our new friend) 🤣 would be so kind as to keep hold of her for a couple of weeks whilst Ruth went on a skiing holiday…..of course the lovely Tina obliged, off Ruth went on holiday and second day in had an accident on the slopes and snapped her ACL ligament and tore her meniscus!!!! So now Ruth is laid up unable to drive let alone ride so guess who now has had to step in and take on the
Pole clinic
All set up for two whole days of back to back groups!
If only all horses were this well mannered.…. ☺️
Sweet dreams really are made on this wonderful boy!! Meet Dave! He’s been in on livery and I’m absolutely loving having him stay, he’s so rewarding to train, gives his absolute best and has improved every day he’s been with me. We clicked straight away and I have thoroughly enjoyed his time with me so far…..
I have space for holiday or schooling livery over the summer. Please contact me to discuss your requirements 07733306106
Finally made it to the beach today!! Such a great day and a big ☑️ off of my bucket list 😁 chuffed to bits with how both of them coped with it all. Dressage horse Neyo didn’t fancy the big sea but I didn’t expect he would but we jumped a few of the groynes (a little over achieving) and had a splash about in some puddles, we all had an amazing day
Hope your horsey weekend plans went better than mine 🙄🤦♀️
Today my Dressage horse Neyo became a sheep dog… 🐑 🐴
Keeping as fit as my horses practicing my tempi changes 😂
People often say ‘you must be exhausted at the end of your days working with horses’
Me after an hours bounce class 3 eves a week 😂
First solo hack up ashridge just me and my main man 🐴 the reason I don’t go alone is that I have no sense of direction……obviously I got us lost and even Neyo started rolling his eyes at me everytime I turned him back round 😆 but I was very grateful for rain, softer ground and Neyos special shoes/footprints to follow to get us home 😂
When your nearly 17 yr old dog is still living his best life as active as ever 🥰 ❤️ 🐶
