Just give me 4weeks commitment, that’s all it takes.
You might think, ‘my dog is fit, they can run miles…’ and that maybe true but there’s a difference between fit and conditioned.
Here’s Buzz, a fit working gundog, who has no end of exercise but look at the difference 4weeks of conditioning has done for him!! I have no doubt this will help him throughout this coming season.

For those of you that have been following wonderful Wilbur’s progress… I’ve loved every excited picture and video sent from his mum, it really brings me joy, whilst not caught on camera, I’ve had a report that he took 4-5 steps last night 😍 Go Wilbur! Such a little superstar 🙌🏼
It just goes to show the difference that can be made when homework is done and Wilbur’s family are grade A students!
As many people know I am a lover of countryside pursuits and have my own team of working Gundogs.
With that said, the upcoming months become a very busy time for me and my team and so I would advise booking in advance as the time between October and February becomes rather limited :)
My diary is now booking 4months in advance so please book now to avoid disappointment ☺️

Puppies and Exercise.
Following on from my last post about puppy exercise..
In 2019 Dr Darryl Millis wrote a paper as a research overview of a study performed on puppies in an attempt to understand their requirements of exercise and how it can affect their development.
The results from the studies show no detriment to the pups when exercised in a controlled manner. The most important environmental issue to consider is to not allow puppies to get overweight. High impact exercise, such as sharp turns and jumping from heights should be avoided until maturity AND a period of adequate conditioning/strength training has taken place.
There is NO, yes you heard me right, NO evidence that normal exercise can cause damage to growth plates. In fact, it has huge benefits to bone and strengthening a variety of soft tissue as well as coordination, proprioception!!
I’m hoping to be holding some puppy conditioning classes soon so keep your eyes peeled!

When I first met Mo, he didn’t want to stand square at all, he’s had asymmetric tight muscles on his hind limbs and restricted fascia plus a tight back riddled with trigger points…but we are getting there now and just look at him ❤️🙌🏼

🚨Newsflash🚨 We have a yawn! 🤣 I love treating Bea, she’s super sweet but being a bit nosey she’s never really dropped her guard. Yesterday…(for some reason, instagram was struggling to share this) What a long but absolutely wonderful day!! The sun was shining and I’ve seen some super clients….and to top it off I had one of my cocker pups as a companion for the day…when I say one of mine, we bred him but his new mum and dad asked if I’d look after him for the day which of course I said yes!! Also can you see the grey paint on my wellies from painting the kennels…oops! We’ve had a busy time lately pushing forward to achieve something I’ve dreamed of for a long time!…A rehab kennels, somewhere that you can drop off your pawfect pal for special care! Somewhere you have peace of mind that your best friend can have the best start to their recovery following surgery whether that’s just for the day whilst you’re at work or when you’re going on holiday. Taken care of by a RVN (registered veterinary nurse) and Level 7 qualified and experienced vet physio!
