Please bare in mind when booking an appointment we will ask for a deposit for each appointment. If a deposit isn’t sent within 24 hours and you’ve had a reminder. Your appointment will be cancelled!

If you have booked an appointment but a deposit wasn’t paid then it’s more than likely your appointment would have been cancelled. So please check before turning up.

🐝🐶 **Beware of Wasp and Bee Stings!** 🐶🐝

Spring, summer, and early autumn are prime times for wasp and bee stings. Dogs often get stung on their paws or around their face, typically causing minor pain, irritation, or swelling. Most stings can be managed at home, but some situations require urgent veterinary care.

# # # Common Effects of Stings:
- Whining
- Agitation
- Swelling
- Lumpy skin
- Biting, nibbling, or pawing at the sting
- Drooling

# # # Emergency Situations:
Stings in the Mouth/Throat
Can cause dangerous swelling and breathing difficulties. Contact your vet immediately.
Multiple Stings or Allergic Reactions**: Can lead to serious health issues. Look out for these signs:
- Vomiting or diarrhoea
- Extensive swelling
- Swelling around the mouth and neck
- Weakness or collapse
- Disorientation
- Wheezing and breathing problems

If your dog shows any signs of an allergic reaction or is stung in the mouth or throat, seek veterinary help urgently.

Stay vigilant and keep your furry friend safe! 🐾

‼️FLEAS AND TICKS‼️

Polite reminder seeing as it’s now flea and tick season!

Please make sure your dogs are up to date with their flea and tick treatments before attending their appointments.

We understand that sometimes they are hard to see. But if we do have a dog in that does has fleas we will charge an extra £15, due to us then having to give them a flea shampoo which takes extra time and then having to disinfect the salon.
Which our disinfectants aren’t cheap.

Also any ticks we remove will be an extra charge of £5.

DOODLES! (And others)
The perfect photo (shared from another groomer) to show how matting happens at the base (or at the skin). So many doodle owners are saddened to hear the only thing I can do with their pups coat is a shave because they thought brushing the top coat was enough. By looking at this dog, you may not see the knots and you may not feel them as you would a knot on the ends of the fur but once it starts its very difficult/ impossible to brush/COMB out... Not to mention it would be cruel to put the dog through.

Often times I feel like owners don't believe groomers when they say the dogs has to be clipped. I always hear "I know he/she is matted, but leave as much as you can"... this photo shows, the only way to get UNDER the matting is nothing left.
I promise you, I'd rather not clip your baby naked either! I also don't want to hurt my reputation when the clients go around complaining about how the last groomer "scalped" their dog....But doodles are easily one of the highest maintenance dogs in reference to their coats. The combination of the soft coat of a golden, or aussie, or newf, or wheaten, or whatever they are mixing poodles with these days is a coat that is SO prone to matting. And even more so are the new "double doodles" that i like to call "double maintenance".

I even find some doodles on a regular schedule need to be clipped once or twice a year (maybe not shaved, but maybe teddy bear length for a fresh start) because after all of the brushing and de-matting, the damaged coat seems to become even MORE likely to matt.
If you like a fluffy pup, you probably need to consider no more than 3-5 week intervals between grooming and set aside time for regular COMBING at home.

Please know, if you bathe your doodle you really need to blow dry and brush out right after. Moisture, be it a bath, rain, swimming, snow etc are all going to amplify matting. And if you know you dog is already matted bathing is only going to make it worse! Brush out BEFORE the bath.

AND!!!!! "breeders" who say they can't/shouldnt be clipped and OR not to give them a hair cut until they are 1 year are out of their minds and setting you up for a SAD SAD SAD day when you finally take your pup to the groomer.

Coming into effect from the 16th April there will be a slight change in our pricing.
Majority of our services will have a £3 price increase.
Our pricing will be dependent on size, coat condition, style and behaviour.
Overdue appointments will also be charged an extra £5-£10.

Full Grooms

Small breeds - £35 - £40
Such as: Yorkie, Maltese, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Cavalier, Toy Poodle.

Medium breeds - £40 - £50
Such as: Cocker, Springer, Schnauzer, Poodle, Cockerpoo.

Large breeds - £50+
Such as: Labradoodle, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Border Collies, Siberian Husky, Standard Poodle.

Extra Large breeds - £70+
Such as: Leonbergers, Newfoundlands, St. Bernard, Tibetan Mastiff.

Bath & Tidies for smooth coated
Small - £20-£23
Medium - £25-£30
