**UPDATE 22.12.25 - Thank you to everyone for sharing the post and for your concern. The little cat received emergency care and treatment but despite our best efforts he significantly deteriorated. The decision was made to put him to sleep on welfare grounds to alleviate his suffering. We sadly have still not found an owner for him.**

We are desperately trying to locate an owner of a cat we have had brought into our Stamford Bridge branch this morning that has been involved in an Road Traffic Accident. He is a young, black/white, neutered male. Although he is microchipped the chip has not been registered. He was found in the road near our Stamford Bridge practice. He is currently stable at the moment but desperately needs further treatment. If you have any information or if you think he could be yours then please contact us on 01759 371066.

Christmas Eve
Stamford Bridge - Open as normal until 7pm
Pockington - Open until 2.30pm
Norton - Open until 3pm
Strensall - Open until 2.30pm

Christmas Day - Closed
Boxing Day - Closed
27th December - Stamford Bridge is open between 8am - 5pm
New Years Eve - open as normal at all practices
New Year Day - Closed

It's that time of the year!🎄
We are doing our annual Christmas 'Feed a Stray' appeal again, we are collecting anything from pet food to not used clean toys, blankets or accessories etc. This will then get distributed between charities and this years chosen charities are the RSPCA and Ryedale Wildlife Rehabilitation. Any donations would be greatly appreciated, you can take them to any of our four branches.🎁

AMAZING NEWS:

After 2.5 grueling years of working full time while studying, completeing assignments and passing exams, these two amazing humans recently passed their final exams which included both speaking and practical exams, and swapped their student blue uniform for the traditional bottle green and entered the Register of Veterinary Nurses (RVN) held by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). 🐀🦔🦃🦆🐩🐈🐇🦉🦢🦡🐢🦜

Like any professional profession, being a listed RVN brings obligations and accountability and the listed members are regulated and guided to follow the Code of Professional Conduct for veterinary Nurses

We now welcome them into our team of 15 strong registered nurses here at Battleflatts.

We are sure our furry friends would think festive food is delicious, but their tummies might not! A lot of the food we indulge in around Christmas is highly toxic and dangerous to our pets.
Always double check food is safe before giving it to your pet. If they have eaten something they shouldn’t, they can usually be given an injection to induce vomiting, provided it is within four hours of ingestion. Fast action can be enough to avoid toxicity, so if you are concerned about something your pet has eaten, please do give us a call!

‼️We have very sadly had a deceased cat brought into our Stamford Bridge branch this morning. She was found in Elvington near the village shop. She is a female, domestic short haired cat. Tabby/Ginger/White in colour, she is microchipped but it is a foreign microchip that has not been registered in the UK yet so we cannot find any details of the owner. If you have information or think she could be yours then please get in contact with us on 01759 371066.‼️
