Meet Buddy, an 8 week old Miniature Dachshund. What a cutie! Buddy came to our Strensall branch for his first vaccination with vet, Hannah. His family say he is very playful, loving, well-behaved and likes nice cuddles.

Buddy has been signed up to Healthy Pet club which includes all his vaccinations and flea and worm treatment. You can find more information here: https://www.vetcollection.co.uk/health-plans-and-products/healthy-pet-club/

Handsome Chap, Oscar the Cockapoo, made himself very comfortable in our waiting room at our Stamford Bridge practice whilst waiting for vet Helen to check his cytology slides of his ears as he is suffering with an ear infection at the moment. It's important for Helen to check the cytology to ensure Oscar has the right treatment to resolve his ear infection. We will see him again at his next consultation to check he is on the right track to clearing the infection!

Oscar's owner signed him up to our Healthy Pet Club where he receives 10% off all consultations, treatments and medications 👩‍⚕️

We celebrate with cake.....this month our lovely Lynne celebrates her 20yr work-anniversary!

Starting in 2005 Lynne has seen many changes at Battle Flatts and worked many roles. Lynne is currently our Stock manager and Head of Dispensary, when she is not looking for her glasses (often on her head) or holding her head in disarray because of a stock error! She can be found at either our Pocklington Branch or our main site at Stamford Bridge looking after your feathered, furry, scally, pets.

Thank you Lynne for all your hard work over the years we really do appreciate you!

Lynne-isms.........
'where's my glasses'
'I'm a better nurse than receptionist'

The autumn equinox falls on Monday 22 September and marks the start of autumn, when day and night are equal. It’s a seasonal shift that can affect your pet’s routine, energy levels and outdoor habits.
How does the autumn equinox affect your pet?🐶🐱
As the seasons shift, your dog might enjoy longer walks in the cooler weather. While you're out and about, keep an eye out for seasonal hazards like mushrooms, antifreeze and ticks.
Cats, on the other hand, may start spending more time indoors, seeking warmth and comfort. With less outdoor roaming, it’s important to keep them mentally stimulated: think cosy hideouts, interactive toys or window perches to watch the falling leaves. 🍂
