🎂Happy 5th birthday Corry & O’Hare vets! 🎂
This day 5 years ago we opened our doors for the first time and the whirlwind began. We have had so many happy and sad times since that day but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We wouldn’t be here without the support of our wonderful clients many of whom we now consider friends and our wonderful staff who give their all.Here’s to the next 5!

☠️A word of caution to finish the week!☠️

Grateful Bosco said goodbye to his buddy Shania this afternoon after a difficult night in hospital. This adventurous lad was in dire straits yesterday when he collapsed suddenly in the yard. By the time he arrived at the clinic Bosco was tremoring uncontrollably and had lost all control of his motor function.

Immediately our quick thinking vets asked if by any chance he would have eaten mouldy bread. As it happened his owner had just noticed the brown bin scattered over the drive before he left. A very typical scenario for a lesser diagnosed problem - MYCOTOXICOSIS!!! 🍄 🍄‍🟫🍄

The toxins contained in mouldy food can cause serious and often fatal neurological signs. We immediately induced Bosco to regurgitate his stomach contents which contained the largest amount of foul smelling waste you could imagine! Almost immediately he started to feel better and after a night of fluids he was able to go home none the worse for his afternoon feed.

So whilst we are mega supporters of reduce, reuse and recycle, it’s a good idea to keep your brown bin waste up and out of reach of your pets. Next time we might not be so lucky😱😱😱😱.
