YES IT HAS BEEN A VERY LONG TIME…
…since l last posted a dog/horse portrait on my page. Sorry!

There are a number of reasons for this but they are too boring to mention here.

However, l am delighted and privileged to be able to share an update on a painting that l am doing of Tom, who is a beautiful horse that belongs to a dear friend of mine.

It is the second biggest oil painting l have undertaken and this is the progress l have made after the first week.

I still do dog portraits if anyone is interested. Please share my post if you have the time as it helps spread the word about my work. Thank you.

SO MUCH JOY IN A LITTLE PACKAGE…

It is very rare for me to do a portrait of someone. Truth be told l have only ever attempted one before and that was of daughter about 6 years ago…

…so to do a painting of my gorgeous great niece in watercolours was way out of my comfort zone.

Well l am pleased to say that it turned at as beautiful as she is.

A LONG, LONG TIME AGO!
To be honest I can't remember the last time I painted a horse or to be exact a pony! So to be given the opportunity to paint a handsome Dartmoor pony named Mischief has been a real treat to do. Sadly Mischief is no longer with us but I hope this will be a fitting tribute.
A big thank you to my 13 year old daughter who took a wonderful photo of the finished painting!

DELIGHTED TO BE PAINTING A WHEATEN SCOTTIE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AGES!!
It has been far too long since I did an update on a painting of a pet dog!!! Too many reason why I haven't which I won't bore people with here. It is great to be able to paint a Scottie again as it is one of my favourite breeds to paint.
