Can we all wish this handsome devil a big happy 8th birthday!! I love you my rooster!! You’ve been with me since the beginning and you can still get what you want with those eyes!
I have set up this page to showcase the adventures myself and the dogs have on a weekend. If you h Hello! I am also fully insured through Petplan Sanctuary.
I’m Holly and ive been an animal lover for...well…..forever! The majority of my working career has been based around animals and after 7 years at college I finished with a post graduate diploma in animal physical therapy. Ive been a dog walker for the past 6 years and have loved every minute of it. If you have a Weekend of busy commitments and cannot take your dog with you, why not send your belov
ed pooch on a ‘Hollys Hiking Hounds’ day out? It will give you the peace of mind that your dog is happy, having the best time and on your return home, you will find a sleepy, well exercised and content dog. On the days out we will be doing anything from munro bagging to walks along the beach, exploring forestry tracks and even strolls around a loch. There will be plenty of new and exciting smells for your pet to enjoy. And for extra peace of mind, I am a fully qualified and accredited canine emergency first aider and carry my kit with me everywhere, so you can feel safe knowing your beloved pets are in good hands.

A bit gloomy but the dogs,as always, love a good hike on a Sunday morning 🐾❤️🐾
Practice a couple of things a thousand times and be consistent!
Notice I say very little to benji! I just use the command and that’s it! if you over complicate things and talk too much to your dog, they won’t listen!
To clarify - as common sense seems to be lacking for quite a few. This is a strong disinfectant, containing lots of strong chemicals including benzalkonium chloride which is very poisonous to animals.
Good morning all. Just a wee update! Sadly I am having to cancel any neutrality walks due to unforeseen circumstances and also lack of numbers.
I do love holding these walks and seeing like minded people working on bettering their dogs! However due to fuel prices and other aspects I can no longer hold them with such small numbers.
Don’t be discouraged though!! There are other dog walkers/ trainers that hold these walks. You may have to travel a small distance but it is worth it! You have ADW Dog Training in Dundee and you have Waggy Races Dog Training & Walking in Livingston! Both are excellent at what they do and have a vast knowledge and experience.
Thank you to all that attended my walks and hopefully one day I can start them up again.
🐾🫶Beautiful morning this morning 🫶🐾

Oh Luna!!! It’s lovely seeing you again after the holidays!!
I often get asked how to reduce excitement with other dogs! The biggest mistake that is made is that it has become the norm to allow our dogs to meet every person/dog that we come across!!
Firstly you want to create calmness in the house! If you do not have a calm dog in the house, you won’t have a calm dog outside the house!
Teaching your dog how to switch off is essential! Place training is a great method and you can use this everywhere! Inside, outside, on a walk, in the pub…everywhere!
Teaching neutrality in different environments and stimuli doesn’t have to be complicated! Start off small and focus on a small positive and build from there!
If you would like some help with this, please get in touch!
Who’s coming along for this tomorrow?? 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
Scrufts 13th August 2022
11am until 4pm
Rollo Park, Station Road, Dunning, PH2 0RH
Free entry and parking, only pay to enter the show or agility rings.
The forecast is for very warm weather, we will have ample water stations, a couple of paddling pools and sun shelters but please use your judgement as to how your dog will manage the heat. Do not leave dogs in cars at any time - there are plenty of vigilantes who'll have your windows smashed!
We will try and keep the dog show quick so no-one is standing out for long!
***NEUTRALITY CLASS***
Looking to alternate netrality walks and classes!! What would be good for all of you and when??
Would it be evenings or weekends??
Excellent neutrality and coexistence from all the pups today!! Thank you to everyone who came this weekend!
Is this something you would all like to see more of??
Day 1 of my neutrality weekend! Both dogs have pretty much the same issues….over excitement and some reactivity around other dogs and people/children!
We focussed the session around implementing a place command, encouraging the dogs to settle and to increase focus and engagement onto the owners!
Initially we used the flirt pole on each of the dogs to get some excess energy out them. We went over some basic lead holding and handling of the dogs.
Neutrality does not need to be complicated! We made the morning all about positivity and we all walked away happy, calm and neutral!
So please with the dogs and the owners! Keep up the good work and most of all be consistent!
See you all tomorrow!!

What a great morning we have had!! All three dogs have their own issues and everyone did amazingly well at advocating for them! They all coexisted beautifully in the cafe and the majority of people respected their space! Well done everyone! You should be really pleased with yourselves and your dogs!! Here’s to the next one! Thank you toBrew & Chew Perth for having us!
My little super star Benji learning his new trick today in 10 minutes!! Arthur copying and learning it too ❤️
We are here already this morning waiting for our neutrality walk to start! Alex from Alex’s Dog Walks Dundeeis here helping with some training before we start! Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
I love seeing this wee face every week!! Patsy is only 5 months old so there is no need for too much structure on her walks at the moment. My aim at the moment is to just let her explore and sniff so she can then relax and enjoy her time out. I always make sure I NEVER move forward when there is tension on the lead as this only reinforces this behaviour. A dog isn’t born knowing how to pull on the lead, this is a learned behaviour. You can see I’m rewarding her for any eye contact I’m getting. This builds up the engagement I get with her and in turn build solid foundations for further training.
A bit of enrichment with the spotty gang today!! You can just make out the snuffling over the wind!! It keeps them engaged with me and they listen more….which always helps with these guys 🐾😎
