🐶🐾🐶🐾 TIME TO SAY GOODBYE 🐶🐾🐶🐾

Today has been the last day of Walkies With Tom & Cal…

We started out on this adventure in February 2019 after leaving jobs that we weren’t happy in. Neither of us had any idea how setting up our own business would go. After a lot of money, hard work and support we were fully booked within 6 months. Over the past few years we would work sometimes 7 days a week and only taking time off once a year over Christmas time. We put everything into our business to make it a success…

2020 was a very hard year for everyone, especially for the self employed. We had only just been open a year when the pandemic hit, we had to close our business for 3 months and had no financial help as we had not been running long enough. Before the pandemic we where walking between 18 - 24 dogs a day. After we came back we had just 3 dogs between us. We had to completely re-build our business. This made us realise just how unpredictable being self employed is and that we needed to work towards what we wanted to do in the future.

This year we have struggled on, we have made lots of changes in the last few months. With Tom leaving to work in the vets in July and Cal working Part time on a weekend…
Since then our dream jobs had been advertised and we knew we had to take the opportunity. Both of us had bagged our dream jobs in the same place up north. This meant we have had to make the decision to completely relocate our lives and inevitably meant the closure of Walkies With Tom & Cal. Which has been a very hard decision.

We would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us on this adventure. Our Families, Friends and everyone we have met along the way. Other dog walkers in the area who have passed on clients to us, everyone we have walked dogs for and to everyone who has liked and shared our posts. It all means so much to us. We will miss all of the dogs that we think of as our own and all of our customers that have become more than customers, you have become our friends (you know who you are).

🐶🐾🐶🐾 VERY IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE…PLEASE READ 🐶🐾🐶🐾

Hi, just a quick post with some news. Me and Tom have recently been offered new jobs and we have chosen to accept the offers.

It is with a very heavy heart that this will mean the closure of Walkies With Tom & Cal. Although this is a very exciting opportunity for us, it has not been an easy decision to close our business. Callum’s last day walking will be 19th November 2021.

We hope you understand and we are truly grateful for everyone who has supported us over the past 2 and a half years. We have met some great people whilst out and about walking and we will miss all of the chats we get to have on a daily basis. Our business would not have been a success without every single one of our customers (human and canine). It has been a very hard time to be self employed, we have had ups and downs and we wouldn’t have made it this far without the support from all of you, our families, friends and customers who have become our friends.

All that’s left for us to say is thank you! We really appreciate all of your support.

As all of you know today is Tom’s last day working at Walkies With Tom & Cal. It will certainly be different starting next week without him. We would both like to thank every single person who has supported us on this adventure, those whose pets we have walked and current customers, everyone who likes and shares our posts and to everyone who has recommended us to a friend over the past few years. Thank you for making our business a success.
Also a very big thank you to everyone who has got Tom a card and present wishing him good luck in his new job.
Things will be very strange heading into next week solo. (Please don’t forget I’m still here 😂)
All thats left to say is Good Luck Tom, we are all so proud of you and can’t wait to see what the future holds. 😍🐶🐾

🐶🐾CUSTOMER ANNOUNCEMENT 🐶🐾

Just a quick post to inform everyone of upcoming changes to our business. From the week commencing 5th July 2021 Tom will be taking a step back from the business due to securing a new job. Friday 2nd July will be Tom’s last day working at Walkies with Tom and Cal.
Callum will still be running the business seeing to your lovely pets. We are trying our best to make as little changes as possible however some changes will have to be made. Any customers who are affected by this will have already been informed.
As it stands we are not currently taking any new customers until Callum can see how things go working alone.
Our business name will be kept the same as this will always be our business that we built up together. We would just like to thank everybody for your continued support.

If anyone needs to change or cancel walks for next week please let us know by tomorrow so we can start planning the week ahead. Late cancellations will be charged at full price.

Due to the rise in dog thefts we have decided that we will no longer post pictures of your dogs on our social media platforms, as we want to keep your dogs safe and not give away our location whilst out with your precious pets on public sites.

We are really sorry about this as we know so many of you love seeing what your pooches have been upto on their walks. We hope you understand and our social media will now only be used for announcements and information for our customers.

If any of our customers would still like to see pictures of their dogs while out with us we can send them to you privately.

🐶🎉🐶🎉🐶 IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY 🐶🎉🐶🎉🐶🎉

Today marks our second year of dog walking, and what a year it has been. This year has been the hardest year for everyone and we feel very lucky to still be running our little business during a global pandemic. It has been a struggle for us with COVID-19 making us lose more than half of our clients that we had before the 1st lockdown. Since then we have slowly been building back up and continuing to run the business.

We are so thankful to everyone of you who has supported us in the past 2 years but especially in the last one. All of your support is greatly received whether that be liking and sharing our posts, recomending us to friends or using our services yourself.

Thank you and we hope that this year will be better than the last. 😍🐶🎉🐾
