Loki has his undercarriage sores reappearing but I reassured his mum I’ve seen much worse so maybe an allergy as the vet suggests but not as bad as I’ve seen in others. His teeth are so much better now by having them regularly cleaned ! He’s a good lad and stunning markings….xx

Teeth cleaning only appointment …
Kyle and Robbie had their regular teeth cleaning session. There is always a build up especially on the rear ones but it easily gets removed with the ultrasound toothbrush as they are done every 8 weeks now.

Ivy is having a little operation to remove a little growth on her face. The last one was removed pre COVID cost £100 this one same vet post COVID now costs £500. Sorry but that infuriates me as inflation hasn’t been running at that %increase!
Anyway, rant over Ivy got her pampering and her Oggie biscuits with sprats from Oggie’s basket as usual as she’s worth it!!!

Whilst grooming Beti and Wini I took a call to say my mum was in a&e Glan Clwyd so quickly finished them off and had to cancel the afternoon appointments (so sorry). Their mum usually gives me cake but had none so tea and toast it was… well more appropriate for the morning call anyway me thinks! I also got 6 fresh eggs from the farm.. get really looked after don’t I! Shave off for Wini which dad hates as he loves his little curly girl but that will be the next visit 😜 The other farm dogs always wait outside Oggie to either play or wait for their Oggie biscuits…. I love this pack they always do something funny when I visit lol

Day started off well visiting Maisie for her groom she absolutely adores her groom then on the next visit her siblings are groomed too but they all have to have Oggie biscuits 😜

Ruby and Grace had their grooms without dad being present today so mums instructions were followed… that means eye lashes shortened 😂 Had a lovely frothy coffee and natter with mum before and after their grooms and they got their favourite treats of Oggie biscuits.

Oscar had a great groom today. Only time I got a hint of a grumble was when I was clipping one of his front legs and happened to say “Good Boy” l then got a grumble as if to say you better do it right 😂 Mum still doing his face but I’m helping to tidy up with Oscar’s permission of course!

Bodhi eventually settles for his groom but no sooner has he just settled towards the end he starts up again all excited about showing mum his haircut and getting his Oggie biscuits of course 😂

Buddy has sores on his undercarriage and his tackle bits and he let me know when the clippers went anywhere near them.. mum had pre warned me so a little scissor trim in that area sufficed today and clippers everywhere else!His teeth are doing well though with regular maintenance 😘

Oscar has a really bad eye infection in both eyes and still has it after three weeks of treatment so albeit he wouldn’t open his eyes for his picture they are better than they have been and actually when mum was giving him his Oggie biscuits they were wide open 😂 Look at my treats with my coffee… I’d forgotten my butties this morning due to the sad news I received about my first client that had to cancel so this was more than welcome!! Had a chat with his mum afterwards… a heart to heart type which made us both cry…. Gosh I have lovely customers… thank you for the hug and advice 😘

Alfie’s appointment was brought forward as I received such sad news to cancel my 2 dog planned appointment as their mum passed away yesterday morning… at 40 yrs old it hit me hard as I’ve visited for 9 yrs so I know how much she went through and her mum told me how much she enjoyed my visits and chats after the dog grooms at the end of her bed with a cuppa. Life really isn’t fair sometimes!
So Alfie got to see me a day early for his groom and teeth appointment which is still work in progress but getting there and so much better than before!

He’s out of uncle Kevin’s fibreglass hospital and you can’t even see the break with his orange all matched up too. Fantastic job thank you. Oggie back out tomorrow phew!

Day off but finally sorted out Rufus’ groom in my garage with my own two pooches watching on! All sorted so all clients groomed from last weeks schedule now… no news re oggie repairs yet but I’m thinking no news is good news??? Think I’ll have to ring and ask tomorrow as I’m stressing again! Rufus loved his adventure but my two made me feel so guilty watching me from the porch as I returned Rufus without them! They got a lovely walk when I got back home though x

With Oggie in hospital I picked up Jasper today to groom in at my home to make sure he still got his groom. He absolutely loved it and was so curious sniffing my dogs but no dogs being there (they were at daycare). Then the chickens at the back he was fascinated with … I think he’ll be asking mum and dad if they can have chickens now 😂

OGGIE IS NOW IN HOSPITAL!
I’m now out of action as the fibreglass repair man (uncle Kevin) has asked for Oggie a day earlier than planned as he needs extra time to work on him. I’m sure all will be well but I do stress! Luckily I did 2 dogs earlier this week instead of Friday as I thought I might need an early finish and I’m offering to do the other two scheduled tomorrow at my home address. Fingers crossed everyone that Oggie, 1st is repairable and if he is 2nd …. recovers well!
I will keep you all updated.

Finally Grace… she’s the neighbour of my last client Jeff and I am asked to sort her nails now and again. She hates them being done but she eventually settles down and after clipping I filed them with the nail Dremel which she seemed to enjoy! All sorted till the next time!

Happy chappie Jeff next. His skin sores weren’t too bad today but he’s back to the vets for an ear infection. He’s doing really well given all his ailments and I do really well with my tea and cake from mum!

Reggie with an overshot jaw and crossover teeth at the rear really needs his teeth maintenance sessions and doing them every 8 weeks is keeping them healthy yeahhh.

Bailey wasn’t well today and we had to wait for his meds to kick in. I’m unable to tilt his head due to his illness but we manage! I got a lovely breakfast bun at this time … I’m so blessed 😘

Phoebe had her teeth sorted 8 weeks ago but still had tartar on a rear upper after the treatment and she’s had enough so we left it till this time, great decision as this time it easily came off so now we can do a true maintenance of all her teeth ongoing.

After sorting the nails of the previous client’s neighbours’ pooch plus getting flagged down in the road asking for an appointment I finally got to Reggie for his summer cut. His coat is very very dense and being black he’s one hot dog! All sorted now and I’m sure feels so much better. He loves his Oggie biscuits and earns more for his siblings and cousin (his grandma’s dog) today… bet he was popular today!

Barney’s growths on his feet are getting much bigger but aren’t causing him any distress and since they are on top only not affecting him walking. Just have to be careful with the clippers obviously. Bless his mum had remembered my birthday of last week so gave me a belated card and pressie…. bless her 😘

It’s been one of those days today started later and just never pulled it back so apologies everyone. Franky met me at Oggie’s kennel for his groom which he puts up with in all honesty as he’s never been a fan. Once sorted he has got used to having an extra Oggie biscuit for his picture else he won’t look at the camera…. They are so clever these dogs aren’t they!

Finally Cleo. She has two loose teeth so off to the vets she goes as she was definitely uncomfortable me touching them I worked around them to make sure we got the others as clean as possible. Didn’t stop her eating her Oggie biscuits though 😂

Last one of Jasper investigating the garden after his groom. I’ll be doing Rufus on Monday at my home too as he wasn’t available today and I know Oggie won’t be repaired by then!

So today I took my own dogs Jerry and Bazz to stay at doggy daycare whilst I am out working. Mum isn’t too well and needs to cut back from helping me so much and at the same time my dog walker has finished so daycare seemed the best option. Shout out and big thanks to the staff at Bow Wows for taking them on, on a regular basis. Daycare and walks wrapped up in one (I obviously don’t need the grooming side of their business but you never know!). Jerry is the sensitive one and doesn’t like other dogs to ‘charge’ him or be in his face and feels he needs to protect Bazz (who is more than capable of looking after herself 😜) so I’ve been dreaming of big fights and injuries etc etc. Picked them up after work to find they have been fine. They were kept with the calmer dogs and had a lovely walk. So since I had a banging headache with the worry I took them for a little walk too and they are both now back home with me flat out and zonked! Think I’ll sleep tonight too as a result! Early dinner as I have felt that sick didn’t have lunch albeit a bacon butty at my last call went down well!

A very difficult groom now for Millie as she lost her litter twin sister Bella just days ago (I will post after regarding Bella) Millie was a little quiet during the groom as I would normally have them both inside Oggie at the same time. However I got kisses as she got cuddles 🥰 and she got that tail wagging for me by the end which I was so pleased to see!

Closed now till next Tuesday 12/9. I have the car’s MOT to look forward to on Monday so fingers crossed everyone! After cleaning Oggie I got home to one of my dogs, Jerry, chatting to the geese who in turn were telling me they wanted some food 😂

And finally mum sent a video of Chloe strutting her stuff to music after her groom… she loves that groomed feeling!

I couldn’t leave Ziggy without a massage too could I 😂

Mum of Chloe showed me a video of another chihuahua getting a head massage and thought Queen Chloe would love one!

Sound on… I’m working tomorrow to catch up and finish the dogs I missed due to my injury. One called Denzel is a big strong lad so told his dad to ask him to be a good boy for me and not bang my arm… listen to what dad says and what Denzel does… I’m crying with laughter 😂

Sorry about the Graphic video Today I finished early as I had to get home to take one of my own dogs to the vets! I have found small spots of blood around the house now and again but never found where from after examination of both dogs! Today I found the source. Jerry was bleeding from his private parts albeit seemed fine in himself? It stopped but just as I was leaving for work it started again and I managed this video for the vets to see. Mum has been with them till I got back and it’s not happened again and he’s been for a lovely walk. An initial examination has found Jerry has a very enlarged prostrate gland so he’s in for further tests and scans on Monday. I have my fingers crossed that it is as a result of many other things that can cause this and not cancer as he’s so young 😢. As a result I may need to change appointments at short notice till I get this sorted. Just getting sorted after my own injury now this… life doesn’t feel fair sometimes does it 😘

Warning… graphic video So I return to work from injury myself and now Jerry is ill. It stopped but just as I left for work it started again which I managed to video for the vets to see. I finished early today to get him to the vets. Not happened again as my mum has been with him so thank goodness for the video evidence. He’s going to doggie hospital on Monday for tests and scans as after today’s examination he has an enlarged prostrate. He’s not yet 3 years old so I have everything crossed that it is many other things that can cause this and not cancer. He’s fine in himself but just making you aware I may need time now and again to get all this sorted so rearranging appointments may happen 😢

OMG We had an Oggie doggie on BBC news yesterday. They wanted pictures of hearts on the coats of pets for Valentine’s Day. I missed it else I would have sent Bazz with her head heart 😂 Ben has passed to rainbow bridge but he definitely had a big heart and loved those Oggie biscuits 😂 Thanks for sending this to me Tony… xx
