Did this gorgeous Mallard back at the end of May, hard to believe I was 8 and a half months pregnant when I did this duck! Looking back I must’ve been mad but I was just so busy!🤣
I’m a little behind on work currently due to issues setting up my new workshop at home but I’m getting there! Haven’t posted in a very long time so I thought I better just show that I’m still very much here! 😄

I love that hard stare that lots of birds or prey have, I’ve found it quite difficult to get right over the years but hopefully get better each time I have the chance to do it. This lovely Buzzard is ready to go home now 😊

I’m very much still here and SUPER busy! 😁 This year has been my busiest business year to date and I’m so grateful to all my wonderful clients! Word of mouth has been such a fantastic source of business for me and every positive word is hugely appreciated, THANK YOU! 🫶🏻

This charming Long-eared owl was in a pretty sorry state when it was bought in by my client. Unfortunately it had been victim to a car and was hit badly so I’m very pleased with the results considering it’s initial condition! Persistence pays off! 🦉

This is by far one of my most favourite pieces I’ve ever had the pleasure to create! I think it’s well knows that I love doing ducks and I adore Mandarins as it is but to be able to do a male and female pair together has been a delight!
What’s even better is that I know this pair is going to a very good home where they’ll be truly appreciated! 😁

🔥Firecrest!🔥
These birds are so incredible and really rare! They are also the UK’s smallest bird (along with its relative the Goldcrest).
The fiery orange crest is not given justice in these photos but they are really something to behold! Utterly adorable and simply beautiful. If you’re ever been lucky enough to see a live one, I’m jealous! 🤩
It also goes without saying that these guys are bloody difficult to do well! 😅

These utterly stunning birds are so difficult to find! Even seeing them alive isn’t the easiest thing, so when I get the opportunity to preserve the beauty of these creatures, instead of them rotting away and going to waste, I jump at the chance!

This Goshawk was found in the heatwave we had in the Summer and with not being sure exactly how long it had been dead, I wasn’t too sure what the outcome would be as decay sets in a lot faster in the heat. So inevitably it lost a few feathers, it also didn’t help that it was going through a malt but with a bird like this you just have to do what you can to make it work and I’m glad I persisted!

Considering how poor the condition was on this Grouse (as many of them are) and how many blood feathers it had that simply fall out in the process, I’m pleased with the results, it’s not an easy job trying to disguise imperfections but when it symbolises memories of the day for the client it’s so important to try and make it work.
So even if the outcome doesn’t look pristine or as neat as you would like it, it’s what it means to the client that’s most important, and I will always put my all into every piece for exactly that reason! 🫶🏻
