Since 2017, I have been offering 5* dog walking, home visits and pet sitting to the wonderful animal lovers of Sheffield. I am insured, DBS checked and qualified to care for your beloved critters. What makes me different from other pet carers? I prefer to offer smaller group walks (max of 4) to maximise the time and attention spent on each individual dog. I also have an affinity for large and gian

t breeds, I’m comfortable walking several at a time. My vehicle of choice is a car with plenty of windows - perfect for pooches who may suffer car sickness. Lastly, I am confident in handling reactive dogs, including individuals who may have a history of aggression towards other dogs. I’ve worked with several foreign rescues and have helped to successfully socialise them. Dog walks start from £8 - please check my services tab for a full list of prices. Get in touch today for a free meet & greet! COVID-19 update: I will be continuing with the extra preventative measures until further notice. This is unlikely to affect you, unless you work from home. If this is the case, I may ask for the dog to be left in an accessible place from the door.

Hi all!

I realised I never got around to posting my business closure on here, so better late than never 😅

After 4 amazing years, I closed Critter Care in November for dog walking and December for cat visits. I started my new job as a Vet Care Assistant at the PDSA in November and it’s been fantastic 😄 I’ve learnt so many new things, including dispensing and putting up meds, assisting with ops, correctly restraining animals for injections/bloods and more.

I miss all my previous clients and I really hope you’re all doing great with your new walker(s).

I’ll continue to update this page every so often with what I’m up to ☺️

A very fond and sad farewell to Bruin, who passed over the rainbow bridge this morning 🌈

She’s been a part of my life since 2014 and I’m very glad to have known her for so long. You will be sorely missed - both by myself and the other doggy friends who loved her so much.

I’ve finally managed to get a full tank of diesel (thanks Costco at Leicester!) and I’ve just arrived back in Sheff 😀 I’ll be doing walks today for anybody I haven’t text to rearrange & normal walks will resume tomorrow!

My books are now closed for new dog walk customers. I’m very glad to say that I’m back up to capacity again, hurrah! 😄

I will still be accepting overnights and cat sitting bookings, and of course any adhoc walks from my existing clients.

Thank you everybody for choosing me, and especially to those who have stuck with me through the turbulent previous 18 months.

Now offering tick removal services! 😂 4 years of dog walking and finally had my first tick on a dog today. Poor Maisie was the unfortunate host to this horrible little bu**er but I’m sure is much happier now it’s gone!

I’m chuffed with this tick remover device though, it works perfectly! 😁

Our Story

Hi there! My name's Lora and I'm the owner/founder of Critter Care Sheffield. I studied a National Diploma in Animal Management at Derby College and went on to study Animal Behaviour at the University of Chester. I have worked in multiple sectors of the industry, such as a privately owned cattery and a veterinary centre. I have been involved in animal work since my first voluntary position at the age of 14. Critter Care Sheffield began in July 2017 when i decided to pursue my dream of working hands on with animals after several years of working in retail. Being a retail manager in charge of a store and 15+ staff helped me develop the tools i needed to start running a business It's still early days but i'm so proud of how far we've come already! We are fully insured for Dog Walking, Pet Sitting and Pet Transportation and offer all of these services, as well as daily/twice daily pop-in's.
